However, Karkat pulled some adorableness. It was so cute I now ship Karkat <3 Terezi. And I don't usually ship anything.

Yep. And Aquariuses are "men of science." Eridan's science wand = win.

I think Tavros's sign was just used as a theme for him. There's nothing about him that says "TAURUS" except for his forgiving nature and slowness to anger.

Yep. The other day I saw an idiot in the MSPA forum that claimed that none of the troll's personalities match their associated sign. They do, or at least use the sign as a motif. :3

I should've known he had a much softer side, because of the sign on his shirt. I'm a Cancer, and we're notorious for living in shells and hiding our true selves. And we're complex people, and Karkat is arguably the most complex character in Homestuck. I'm actually a lot like him, as I appear to be a total b***h, but I'm actually pretty damn nice once you get to know me.

He's really fun to anylize psychologically. We were talking about ego defenses is psychology, and I noticed Karkat has a lot of them. He has a big ego, but not a whole lot of self esteem or self love. And oh hey, look. The contradictory nature of Cancer is also in play with his character. : P

Yeah. And no matriorb. At least you can alchemize one, but it'll take a lot of grist.... it would be worth it.

You know what? I used to hate Karkat. Now he's my favorite and he makes me sad now. >.> He's been through so much, more than any other character, mostly because he feels like everything is his fault and everything that happened hit him really hard. I think he can be the great leader he thought he was if he pulls it together. Gosh, he's just a kid, too. Dude needs to catch a break.

Yeah, but most of the trolls didn't honestly believe in the blood caste system, especially the low-mid bloods. Everyone from Terezi downward didn't give a damn about it. Only Vriska, Eridan, Equius, and maybe sober!Gamzee did. It's not that surprising, Karkat was very eager to prove himself, remember? And he took charge and pulled everyone together when no one else could.

Karkat is going to do great things. I just re-read The Sufferer's story, and his last prophecy was about Karkat and how he would guide the trolls to greatness. He hasn't actually done that yet, I don't count his epic failure in creating the genesis frog and failing to enter a new universe a victory. I hope everything turns out okay for the trolls, and that they can build a better world.

Yeah. Their gender is vestigial, and it seem to depend on their behavior and outward appearance, if anything. But, there is evidence that female trolls have breasts.... for some reason. Vestigial boobs are vestigial. Perhaps in some spot in troll evolution they reproduced without the help of a mother grub. Or maybe Hussie just thought adults looked weird without them. *shrugs*

Too bad their society was full of racism and albiesm. Both in pre-scratch and post-scratch universes, but in different ways.

You know, I'm glad Homestuck is kind of normalizing same sex relationships. The characters barely react to them, unless if a straight character is being flirted with by a bi/gay character. Like John and his "i'm not a homosexual." to Karkat's black advances. And most of the trolls are bi and they don't even have words for sexual preferences even though they exist. Kanaya prefers ladies, for example.

Yeah, I really liked the song, too. And it made me go back and go, "Wait, how did Vriska make Kanaya cry?" Then I read back and then I was like, "Oh." I wasn't really invested in the trolls early on, to be honest, so I didn't pay much attention to those early parts in Hivebent.
