My kitty now was a stray - he used to just come and go, and eventually he trusted us enough to stay. Had to take him to the vet, though, poor thing was filthy on the insides of his ears, and he had a small infection.
But, since he was a stray, he's always been a fighter. x3 He's warmed up to people a lot more now, though he's always a little wary of strangers.

Awww. =( All my cats have been outdoor cats - I've been lucky, the worst that's ever happened to them is getting into little scraps here and there with neighbourhood cats. Luckily no serious scratches ever, or bites or anything of the sort.
