Yay! Thanks. Modeling what, exactly? Like, your perty smile or full-body stuff? (Sorry if that's a stupid question... I know zip about this). I'm too immature to model anything but the parts on someone else's body. Maybe if I practiced smiling in the mirror so I don't look like a crunk zombie >.>

I went to a family reunion on my dad's side with my bf a while back. That wasn't exactly fun. BF and I are in MD right now but we're heading to GA for a year next week. The week after that, I think, there is a family reunion on my mom's side. They're somewhat stuck up and I'm glad we won't be able to attend. I feel bad for making my mom go it alone, though. I told her to sneak in the car so she can come with us, but she just muttered some nonsense about working and whatever.

I probably wanted to respond to something else but forgot...

Well, that makes sense. I also just felt bigger women were generally appreciated more by men and other women within black communities so it's not entirely how one views themselves because it also seems like there isn't anything discouraging it either.

I was actually just thinking about how black women pull off the "beautiful big girl" look better than most big white women I've seen when I was looking at your signature. I was just thinking that it's probably confidence. Do you think it's more socially acceptable to be larger in black communities? It would make sense because it seems like once a white woman realizes her weight, she kind of gives up on beauty and therefore doesn't preen as much but I've seen plenty of good-looking large black women who are very confident about their look and confidence is always sexy on top of caring for your hair and skin and nails.
