I am not a day trader but do visit pt as much as possible. I find the most fun I have on pt is the post and comments that come from them...I enjoy looking up old post and finding the classics that people haven't read in a while.

Some of the best post have gotten spammed...I'm not sure the system works right. For instance I wrote a post not long ago (It was intended to be spam by the way) that got 19 useful and 9 or 10 useless...First thing no post that has more useful then useless should be spammed...Next it should have been set up that the spam option only comes after you vote useless...but this isn't my suggestion...

On another thread I mentioned that the useful/useless vote use to be smart/notsmart and people really vote agree/disagree....Then the great ILTC suggested why not have them all...

Useful/Usless

Smart/Idiotic

But you can only vote once....

That is a great idea....If we had them all we could have all the possitive votes count as one at the top count...Favorable/Nonfavorable....With a Useful/Useless count in ( ) next to it...

All that get favorable counts but not Useful would go to the "miscellaneous" section dropping off of the recent section...If they get more Unfavorable then favorable they simply drop off...They could still be found but not on the recent section....Practically eliminating the need for the spam button..Although maybe you could keep it with this system.

Then you wouldn't have post like Mcalp's and "if you havent noticed" ElKabongs most recent post that was #1 on the Useful list until it was sent to Spam heaven...

This also leads me to another suggestion...In these old classic post I often find people discussing something with an what appears imaginary friend or foe... I know this wasn't the case when they wrote their comment..atleast I hope not..

I understand the need to terminate accounts...I don't understand the purpose of deleting every comment they have ever made as if they never existed.. That makes no since. No one ever has a bad thought 100% of the time and how are we to learn from someones mistake if we never see it...If the world acted like Hitler never existed...Then it wouldn't be possible to spot someone making the same mistake...Or for that matter keep from making the same mistakes on letting him get so far..

Well thats my argument for bringing back some of the classic comments and for not losing anymore...Hope you agree but no biggy if you don't..Remember change is beautiful
