That's actually a pretty good policy. That way you aren't tempted to take someone else's little for yourself. I took my little my senior year, but that was because my Junior year I didn't get one. My little was rushing as a Junior though so I didn't feel as bad leaving at the end of the year. I had a huge extended family too. I think it was one of the biggest pledge families in the chapter.

I seem to recall that it really emphasized how personal having a relationship with God really is. I must say that his almost mystical approach appeals to me, but I suppose that is certainly not true for everyone, like your friend perhaps?

Blue Like Jazz is one of my most favorite Christian books. I also love some of the other books by the same author. I like how honest he is even if it's not flattering.
