I have three days of chores.
Cleaning the bathroom and the kitchen on Tuesday.
Kitchen on Wednesday.
Kitchen, laundry and bathroom again on Thursday.
It's how we have it now.
Though, when we get our own place...

I have a great idea for it now.
At the time, I thought "Oh, it's just a trinket to show she loves him".
Now, I can go along the lines of the fact that Kitsunes are japanese demons.
Her "spirit" is in the crystal.
She actually gave him a part of herself and she is growing severely weak because he's been gone so long.
She is searching for him, or at least the crystal if he is no longer alive.
