I have one character that I think will do that pretty well... Perhaps I should have more, heh. His brother would probably do that, but he's part of a really popular band that's always on tour, so seeing the brother is kind of rare.
I figured I would show that infancy a little... Like, how close the brothers were, and how progressing in life split them apart. The turmoil it caused for Jazz, blah blah blah.
And showing the relationship Jazz had, and how it fell apart. That part I don't want to have reflect reality, because I honestly don't even know what happened! So for that i'll make something up.
But all of that stuff seems pretty boring for the beginning of a story... So I thought maybe I should start off at a more interesting part, and have that background stuff be in flashback chapters.
I plan on having this project last for a long time~

Yeah so... I'm gonna run off for a while, because of reasons that I posted in your/our thread. </3
But I live you! Because you're awesome! I just need to collect myself.

That's sort of what I want my Jazz to be, a channel for all of the things I otherwise have no outlet for. But he's not nearly that interesting!
He's a reflection of me in that he has a mother and a brother that he cares very deeply for, and in that it's basically him against the whole world.
Also in that he's lost someone who he loved, and still does love, with every fiber of his being; someone who doesn't deserve such devotion.

I want him to reflect me so that he can really be the kind of channel I need, but some whiny emo kid isn't going to keep readers interested!
A mundane nine-to-five job isn't going to keep them interested either! I know part of what I want to have happen in my story for him... But it needs more!

My character just needs so much development still!
And the main catalyst that causes him to change is the loss of someone he loved, which is exactly what spurred a change in me!
I dunno how to make him realistic while still maintaining a certain level of... Interesting. >_>
I'm not good at character development. xD

So exciting!!! >__< I'll have to find out when we get things in next~

I'd kind of considered trying to be like one of my favourite characters... So far I don't think I have one that I want to emulate that much though!
I really do love Johnny and Charlie in Vassalord though... But i'm thinking it might just be because that's what I've decided to obsess over lately, haha!
Maybe I should make my comic's main character more like who I think I should be! Then drag him through hell! >:3

Mmm... Maybe. I'm kind of a lowlife with or without anime, but I feel like it might have been a contributing factor.
Because it put me into a fantasy world, and gave me unrealistic expectations of what life would be like.
I can't really blame anime for that though, because i'm the one who made the choice to disregard reality!
But either way, i'm still pursuing my little dream of being a webcomic artist!
I even started sketching out designs of what my main character's childhood/family home looks like!
Which is 100% ripped off of my current house, except what it would look like if I had an unlimited budget and could always get my way!

I'll have to find out where our shipments come from! I mean, i'm pretty close to Chicago/Illinois, so they could very well come from there!
It would just be totally awesome to find something you've handled, because it would be like... "Woah, small world!"
It makes me think about how intricate things really are, like... Behind the scenes! It's exciting!
