I used a pork shoulder.

I didn't use vinegar.

I used pork rub on it before anything.

I got one of those large trays with the metal rack in them and put it in that.

I made sure the fat on the pork shoulder was at the top.

I pre-heated the oven to, like, five hundred degrees. Some ungodly high temperature.

I slathered a bunch of sauce onto the pork shoulder.

I threw it in the oven for about an hour.

I turned it down to, like, two hundred.

I took it out every now and then to slather more sauce onto it.

I let it cook for five hours at a low temperature.

I didn't add any sauce into it after pulling the pork apart, but my mother does.
