Wattpad so far is the best for me. I was a Mibba member years ago and actually, funnily enough, after years of not logging on I actually did a day or two ago. I never liked Mibba. It was hard to make friends and people I met or came across were pretentious. Recently I've joined 21lines which is just okay. It's more of a poem or short story site. You could make novels if you wanted to, but the way the site is set up forces you to make each chapter it's own entity therefore forcing you to have a cluttered mass of "stories" that are actually chapters of a larger story. I wouldn't use 21lines for anything but short stories and poems in all honesty, but other member make it work. To each their own lol. xp

In all honesty, Wattpad is extremely biased. I love the site to death, but it's not an easy site to gain reads on. I have noticed that my BoyxBoy story has an overwhelmingly higher amount of reads than any of my other stories. Because Wattpad is mostly paid attention to by teenage demographics that can easily access the app, as well as people who are there to be able to read freely without needing wifi or a reading tablet, it makes other less creative stories popular. Also, I've noticed that the creative stories that are popular are usually made by people who either publish or are adults with an adult fanbase. If you were to type in say... "Bad boy" in the search engine (I chose this because lately this has been pissing me off), you'll be surprised (or unsurprised if you're a Wattpad commoner) at the amount of "bad boy" stories there are and how many reads they each have. It makes you wonder if your stories will ever go anywhere with the mass of sappy teenage tumblr girls who would rather read the same story by different authors and under different titles than a good ol'fashioned sci-fi with hints of romanticism. Sigh. I'm ranting.

I'm overdue a chapter on one of the stories I post on Wattpad. I need to get pumping! I couldn't write and post it last week because it was finals week and I didn't want to fail any of my exams.

Syndrone is a basket case. It had so much potential. I don't think a majority of the users are even trying to like the new owner. I think that part of their frustration at what happened in the past is not allowing them to move on and they are thereby making a circle of problems that won't get fixed. We can't move on with this negative attitude a lot of them have. They criticize almost everything and it gets excruciatingly rude. Sometimes I can't even read what they have to say because it's painful. Nothing about their tone is helpful. Sigh.

I need to participate one year! And ooo! I saw the thread you're talking about. I thought about commenting in it but I was too shy haha. I get so self conscious when it comes to writing.

I joined maybe a month or two after Syndrone was created. It's sad to see it go downhill so quickly after only a few months after it's first birthday. In comparison, I've had a Gaia account since 2006 but I haven't used it in years. Now that Syn is having a tough time I thought I'd get back into Gaia. sweatdrop

Ooo~ You participated in the NanoWrimo this year? How many stories did you get done exactly this time? I never participate, but I love seeing the competitions on various sites and I get encouraged by everyone's enthusiasm. heart heart

I think that the community is also partially at fault to be honest. A lot of them don't know how to move on.
