I'll admit, that I may have misinterpreted nature of your expression "trigger happy". I thought it was literal. My apologies for that. Still made for a funny use of the Chan meme, though razz

As for the secession, well, the south of today is much different than the south back then. There are surely some ultra racist / homophobic / whatever down there, just as there are up north. But I don't think the Neo Confederacy would be as bad as the old one. Keep in mind, we've come leaps and bounds in travel capability. By that fact, culture has bled together, a lot more than it could have back then. So you have a lot more moderates per capita, this time around.

But that's all hypothetical. And by mentioning a secession, I'm only pointing out the Tennessee (and other states, I'm told) passing their own "state" laws that effectively NULLIFY Federal law. Which is EXACTLY what the Confederacy wanted the ability to do. So for even 1 state to literally tell the Feds to ******** off, is an almost carbon-copy of how the Confederacy was born. And if 1 state could do it, you know that others with similar interests, will follow suit. I'm not saying secession is inevitable, or any such thing. But that recent political activities are looking pretty reminiscent.

Yeah, noooo I don't get that either. If you ask me it sounds like a lazy-a** cop-out answer. If someone has empathy, they're not going to suddenly stop having it by going online. Same for those who lack it -they're not losing what they already don't have. It's what they're gaining that's the issue -which is a way to bypass personal social scrutiny and the consequences that go along with that. In other words, impunity.

Haha, I giggled at that, puns are always fun and jocular isn't a word I see often. blaugh

True, true. Sadly... sad It's a test of sorts if you think it about it that way, anyway. You're given the power of complete anonymity, but what will you do with it? Shame many fail that test.
In that case I guess there's only so much you can do, huh? Still, you're worlds better than them.
Oh yes, also wanted to say your emotion markers are nice. it's an interesting way to tell people the tone of you want to say and I end up reading them in my head like that. xd

I really do. Honestly it's.. there just aren't words and the once that come to mind are sanity-restoring and validating.
And ugh, you'd think that user would have something else to do with thier time.. or at least be enough of a not-sociopath to ya know... not act like one.

Had an encounter with them once, and quickly decided to just stop replying for my own sake.. still, not as bad as what you're dealing with -One of these days someone needs to report them. stare
