I live out in the suburbs too. I guess most of Australia must. xd I'm 40min from the city by train, since that's how I get to uni.

Crazy hobo fights? rofl I don't see many homeless people around really. Mostly just those Big Issue guys, but they're really friendly and sometimes I have a small chat with them.

Haha I'm yet to meet anyone at uni who doesn't b***h about the workload! In high school everyone made out that uni is one great big party - they never gave the impression that there was a great big lump of work to go with it. gonk I feel so decieved.

I didn't realise Melbourne was known for good shopping in Sydney, I thought it was just something we pretended to ourselves. xd "Melbourne, the shopping capital"

To be honest, the shopping centres and main shopping strips are pretty much the same where ever you go - the same brands, same clothes. When I go to Sydney I'm always amazed by how much COLOUR people actually wear - but I have no idea where you all buy the clothes from since the same stuff seems to be in the shops! There's a lot of cool little shops and boutiques in the city, individual designers, etc - but you have to know where they are and be prepared to spend the money.

Havings said that, I love Melbourne. I get so much more excited by all our cafes, laneways, graffiti, music and comedy. And straight streets! xd

Haha sorry, that was a bit of a long reply. What do you do in Sydney? Are you studying? ^.^
