The Meaning of Me
I am a musician. Things that come to mind automatically are probably things such as: "untrustworthy," "fool," "irresponsible b*****d," "loser," "hack," "poser," etc,... Anyway, I hope to be none of these things unless that's what I am currently.
I am really more of a composer, in that I compose music rather than just play it. I am also a songwriter. My partner is my father Jordan. He writes all the lyrics, and I all the music. He is an exceptional lyricist. He also plays drums, and he has been playing since he was 14 years old.
I play any keyboard instrument: Organ, Piano, Synthesizer, Harpischord, Electric Piano, Wurlitzer, etc...
I also own a Tascam MKII Digital Portastudio. It only cost a little over $1000 and does everything needed for a home recording studio. My dad plays a set of Yamaha drums, circa 1987.
My keyboard is a *Roland Juno-D and it is simply.. amazing. We bought all our equipment at Sam Ash, save for my dad's drums.
My favorite band of all time, without a doubt, is Emerson, Lake & Palmer. And their best album is definitely "Brain Salad Surgery". However, (as elected by my dad, me, and my dad's former songwriting partner) the greatest album of ALL time in Rock & Roll/Progressive Rock is "...And Then There Were Three..." by Genesis in 1978. That album has a magic to it that no other album has, ever since its release. My favorite groups next to ELP are: The Beatles, Genesis, Steely Dan, Third Eye Blind, and Aerosmith.
So, that's what my life is about. Pretty boring, right?
