I wanted something in forest green but there's barely any green items other than the toxic ones. I like the cunning items but there's barely any, even fewer listed in the marketplace.

Also, orange hanging thing? Do you remember what it looked like?

I know they made another Kirby game under the superstar name, I think it was for GBA or DS. It wasn't the same game though, if I recall. And yeah, I'd do it as well, but I just don't have the downtime to commit to playing something most days, even on my lunch break. rofl And no, you didn't. No worries.

There's nothing wrong with that strategy. As a kid, I used to despise random encounters and basically anything that sidetracked the story. I honestly love offshoots now, and while time consuming, I take some joy in grinding now. Makes boss fights cake. rofl

Tektek as I remember it was just a dream avi builder. Did it become an app down the road? How have I not known about Tektek advancements? But yeah, it's surprising there's nothing 3rd party. Then again, Gaia did experience it's lowest point right as smart phones came into prevalence.

It would be a lot of fun. They're still in alpha? It's been so many years, though. Isn't that a touch unconventional? I can't even begin to imagine what the final product is going to look like. It's already a completely different beast from when I played it.

They are definitely louder in the morning, that's common amongst most kinds of birds. I'm not really well educated on the behaviours of wild birds, but I can only imagine the sunrise is a big player in that. They are nature's alarm clock. rofl Their activity explodes the moment the sun hits the horizon, and they hit the ground running. They never are as active any other time of the day as they are first thing in the morning.

I do get that sometimes, and sometimes I find games to be way less intense than they were. Kirby superstar for snes is a good example of that. rofl I've had my 3ds for nearly 3 years at this stage and while I really like the system and the games I have, I've only found the time to play it like 8 times. I didn't know there was a Tenchi Muyo jrpg. If it's that in depth, I'll have to look into it! And yeah, I really feel the whole lack of time thing.

The app basically is just for changing your avi the this point. They don't even let you get pms in it. Considering I haven't committed to changing my avi since like 2011, That app is basically useless to me. rofl 7D2D could do it, honestly. I doubt it will happen, but they could. Pubg, minecraft, and Call Of Duty all did it, so it's definitely plausible.

Take care of yourself!! And yeah, I have noisy birds but I actually really adore birds so their noise doesn't really bother me. Unless they are outright screeching, I find bird noise to be super relaxing.

It honestly is a whole different animal, but I've actually made some friends playing with strangers. And you're right, it doesn't matter at all how a game looks, almost all of my favorites are from ps2 and ps1. I play my n64 and super Nintendo from time to time as well. I generally prefer pc as a platform for everything, and used it almost exclusively for a while until it died. Even to emulate consoles that I could've just walked over and turned on. I just like pc, honestly. sweatdrop Until I get around to fixing it, I mostly have been sticking to ps4 and ps3. Playing catch up on the things that didn't come to pc, etc. I've recently gotten into the yakuza games and Kerbal Space Program. How about you? Honestly, Ksp doesn't play well on console... I really need to fix my pc. rofl

I've just been doing everything on my phone, actually. It's quite the downgrade from my gaming build, but I can make it work for what I absolutely need to do. It's just a tad more stressful/difficult to use. sweatdrop Let me tell you, Gaia is NOT designed to be used on a phone. rofl I'm actually kinda excited to see what 7d2d has to offer when I get everything working.

I hope it's working! Are you noticing a difference? Heh, Garbage buddies. I like it. I don't have black out curtains, but dark green ones seem to filter out enough light. It's nothing new, though. I'm a lifelong night owl so I'm used to just sleeping through the sun. rofl I'll try to get some rest, you do the same. razz

Sorry for the late reply!

I absolutely will, and thank you again for the well wishes!

I can't blame you, like I said. I never cared for them for the longest time. I only got into them after I started pc gaming and my friends dragged me into them enough times. rofl It's important to stick with what you enjoy. That's what gaming is all about after all, isn't it? It's just sad that the industry has more or less lost sight of that. I've always been subpar at building good homes in the sims. I'm pretty good at building really abstract and annoying houses to waste the time of my Sims, but that's about it. My functional houses are pretty basic, I'm not great at the Sims. sweatdrop

Unfortunately I can't turn on my computer to find out exactly what build I was running, but it was pretty early. My friend got me into it shortly after release and I only stuck around for a couple of months. The interest is there, I just got sidetracked and never checked back in like I intended to. sweatdrop

I hope you don't have it either! Honestly, I hope that's not what it is in general. It only really happens to me when I'm really sleep deprived, so I think I'm okay. That sounds awful, I hope you're okay! Have you gone to a doctor about it at all? It could be circulation problems or arthritis as well. If you could find out what it is, there may be a way to prevent it. I hope you can shake it.

I hope you're getting enough sleep as well! My sleeping habits are actually garbage, not gonna lie. I feel like that comes with the 3rd shift territory though. rofl Good luck on the YouTube catchup game! It gets to be quite the task. Don't worry about getting back to me late, I know how it is. Hope your day is going well!

When you get into the used computer parts of eBay, especially ones you can't test before booting, you'll run into some problems eventually. It's a no boot scenario with no beep codes, so it could only really be one of the two. The testing more serves to tell me if anything else is bad at this point. If it's not one of the two, I'll genuinely be blown away. rofl I'll be sure to let you know when I've hammered that out for sure. razz

I was never into multi-player games for the longest time. I didn't like shooters or much of anything, I just liked turn based jrpgs and adventure games. Once I started on pc, I started playing more multi-player games and eventually branched out into basically every genre. I'm actually really good competitively in a lot of games I otherwise never would have played. I don't know, I've found that playing things in a group with friends helps ease into the whole multi-player thing. To be honest, I often still won't play multi-player games unless I've got at least one friend in the party. sweatdrop It's really a shame though that single player games aren't getting much attention these days. The multi-player era feels a little cheap, you know? Where's the story? Where's the adventure? Where's the experience? It's fun to play with your friends, but that's not the only thing video games are about. Single player adventure games and jrpgs are always going to be where my heart is. I just can't drum up any interest in a lot of what's coming out of the industry these days, really. Microtransactions, live services, multi-player only; All of those things are draining the life out of a medium I've always loved. I guess I just miss the days of a good story driven experience.

With the rant out of the way, I also love building things. I'm just not so great at it in video games, if I'm honest. I used to play 7 days to die, but I played it waaay back. I've seen some gameplay recently and it looks like it's come a long way. I'll probably end up revisiting it after my computer is revived.

And me too. I just can't seem to keep up with anything these days. rofl My "watch later" queue on YouTube is pretty intimidating.

Please do, I'll look forward to it! Thank you for the well wishes! And definitely do, I hope you like them!

Sort of? I know when im super sleep deprived they kind of feel like I've developed carpal tunnel or something, but usually I just get light headed or foggy.

The motherboard was used and bought on ebay, it very well could just be bad. I'm going to test the power supply at some point, but I'm pretty certain it's one of the two. sweatdrop

I'm honestly the same way, I barely even have time for YouTube these days. I do play! I've got a solid 3000+ library on steam and more physical copies of console games than I really know what to do with. As for my favorites, I've always been big on classic jrpgs. FFVII, FFX, Legend Of Dragoon, Shadow Hearts, etc. But I play (not so much lately) A LOT of video games.

Thank you so much!!

If you ever want to play something, feel free to shoot me an add. I have psn and steam mainly these days. I'm probably going to make some effort to fix my computer in the coming months. sweatdrop

I bought a motherboard and swapped it like a year ago and it still didn't boot. I really think it's my power supply, but I can't really be sure that a motherboard I got on ebay wasn't just dead on arrival. rofl It's a little tedious, but it's only like a 20 minute job. I really hope so too. razz

Oh gosh, I feel. I've been on hiatus from steam, discord, and the like for years now. All thanks to the sudden death of my computer. sweatdrop It's harder to get anything done with a phone as well, so time basically stopped for me on the Internet.

It often does come in waves, doesn't it?

Thank you! I'm glad you like the name. It's the main title for the whole thing. The concept of "The Fool" and his story hold a lot of significance.

Looking forward to it!!

It's either the power supply or the motherboard. I built the computer, so it's no problem to snap it apart. I just haven't had the time to test my parts on a friend's build to figure out what works and what doesn't. sweatdrop That's terrible! I hate it when I have to rely on old backups. gonk It always seems to happen while you're making strides, doesn't it? I'm really sorry that happened to you, it sounds like you lost a lot. D:

Thank you! I'm really happy you like the concept! Also it's funny you mention a book series, because I've often thought of splitting it up into a series instead of just one big book due to the sheer volume. sweatdrop

New friend!

And yes, word vomiting is the only acceptable lifestyle. rofl

I do still have it! I'm not all that proud of it because the point was to recreate a reference image so it felt kinda odd... But I do have it! I'm honestly really excited to see your art! I'll keep an eye out for it, and I'll reply with the snail and the project to start. I found my old art avi too. Not as good as I remember it being, but I still like the way the line tool and free transform looked. razz

My hard drive seems fine, so I don't think I'll end up losing anything when I fix it. It's a pretty terrible feeling when your computer dies on you, especially if you've got works in progress at the time. I'm really sorry that happened to you! gonk It's really kind of you to say that! I'd love to get it published, but I don't know if it's good enough or if the concept would sell. It was really a passion project born from the want to do something with the world I'd built. I've got a few ideas that have been swimming around in my head for an ending.

At this point, the main cast had just arrived at The Dome. Basically the dome contains a city which is full of people who more or less ascended to being demigods. They ended the world to put a stop to a giant war about a century prior, etc. Most of the powers people have are based on the 22 major arcana. There's an old man just wandering the wasteland giving out books. Despite basically everybody being illiterate thanks to the apocalypse, these people are able to understand the words in the books. The preface of every book is the story of The Fool. Hence the title being "Aria For The Fools". Anyway, each book contains the story of an arcana. The old man gives the people he chooses books based on how he sees their personality. After they are read, they disappear the moment they leave the owner's line of sight. Shortly thereafter, the person develops a power. The power is determined by the nature of the arcana, and how the person interpreted the story. Each individual power comes with it's own unique backlash as well. That being said, the people in the dome aren't really demigods, it's just the arcana they've chosen to use. So its basically the grand finale. Sorry if any of that was confusing. I was trying to give a general picture without spoiling anything important. razz

And yeah, that's true! I'd say this is a prime example. It's been a while since I've made a new Gaia friend.

Word-vomiter may not be a word, but it certainly is a lifestyle. rofl

I used to use a tablet, but I have a lot of fun with line tool and free transform. I had to do a project in high school (which I found) where we had to recreate a reference image of our favorite "cartoon character" using nothing but line tool and free transform. We couldn't layer trace either. It took me like two weeks, but I drew the best damn Kamina I've ever done. Shortly thereafter, I used the same technique to draw myself an art avi and it's all history from there. I'm better digitally, but I can freehand sketch pretty well sometimes. I drew a really small picture of a snail the other day id be happy to show you. razz Please send me the good stuff and the usual stuff. You produced it either way, it all counts. It's all a result of your talent, after all. There's no flukes in art, and Bob Ross told me there's no mistakes either. rofl

I do, honestly. Expectations and deadlines can really shut the throttle on the creative engine sometimes. I'm glad you were able to come back to it and finish it after all of that time! That must've felt amazing, especially after getting that happy comment! I hope I can pull that off someday. I wrote a pretty detailed rp concept for Gaia back in high school. It never really took off, my friend said it was a little intimidating because of the scale, detail, and such. sweatdrop Anyway, over time I ended up writing it as a novel instead. As of now, I've been sitting on around 600 pages for years and I can't decide if I want to rewrite it all or just try to finish it. I don't want it to be inconsistent, and my writing ability has come a long way since I began. It was the first and only major project I took on and I just don't know what to do with it at this point. rofl

I agree with you on the games. I hope they either leave them as is or update them somehow. I would really hate to see them go. So long as they leave them up, the people who care about them will find a way regardless of flash's support.

And I wouldn't give up hope! A friend of mine who disappeared in 2007 made a surprise reappearance in 2018 according to my friends list and his status update. Too bad I wasn't around for it myself. sweatdrop All you can really do is stick around. Who knows, anything could happen!

Oh gosh, I'm honestly really flattered. Nobody has ever said anything like that to me before, and I've certainly never thought it of myself. I always felt like other people saw my manner of speaking as word vomit and just endured it to be nice to me. I've always just been really self conscious because I was bad at articulating as a child.

So thank you! That honestly means a lot to me.

I'm not super great at art either, but I think most artists feel that way. I'm sure I'd love your art! It doesn't matter how far down the road it is, if you do end up opening up a shop I really do want you to let me know. razz

I nuked my deviantart years ago and my pc has been out of commission for about two years, but I can see what I still have up on the Internet and pm it to you if you'd like? It wouldn't be anything that big or that great, but I'd be happy to show you if you're interested. I'm honestly interested to see your art as well if you have anything you're willing to share.

Still typing at work. My phone died in the middle of typing this the first time, so I'm sorry if this one seems rushed or off. sweatdrop
