Yeah, it is hard to find manual cars now. I learned because my bf has a manual and I thought it isn't a bad skill to have. I have an automatic and think I prefer it but it was neat to learn manual

Yeah, that's good. We still make mistakes even with the knowledge and practice - human error n all that. I even learned to drive manual a few years ago which was interesting if stressful lol

I think the norm is around 18 in the US, depends. I had to take a class on rules and drive with a permit for a certain amount of hours... yet people around here are terrible drivers XD

That says a ton if the principal of the school asked you to join on as a teacher! They apparently didn't care if you earned a specific degree yet, as your actions as a previous substitute told them they didn't want to lose you. That's great and speaks volumes about you! biggrin

It would be tough to deal with difficult kids I'm sure. The best advice I could maybe think to give you is that if you set boundaries on behaviors, DO NOT give an inch. Or next time they will think they can push their behavior further knowing that you'll eventually bend. Consistency is key. Also total fairness. If one person can't get away with something, then ALL of them can't. No favorites or exceptions. If you stick hardfast to your own self made rules, they'll learn to respect you. Kids that age need boundaries and restrictions and they actually welcome it.

It's good that I'm not a teacher, because there is NO WAY I'd tolerate cellphones being used during class. scream I'd either come up with some rule that they drop them off in a basket at the door coming in, or I'd make it clear to them that if you're caught using one, I'll give you one warning, then after that you're going to the principal's office or removed from class. Being able to browse on TikTok or Instagram during class is total disrespect to the teacher's time and efforts, and I can't understand how it's so accepted nowadays.
