I think I will. I really doubt it could hurt. Worse case scenario is she blushes, rhetorically says 'What!?' and leaps back in shock, in which case I can wave her down without a big issue.

Ha. I'd love to drop the s**t and ask her, but I have to get past her guard dogs(parents). And they will not let me anywhere near their daughter, even though she among their three is the only one with any sense.
