hahahah almost all the oldbies on Gaia blame the Cash Shop for all their gold-related woes. But honestly, it did open up the way to MASSIVE inflation, and like you said, it's a good way for Gaiacorp to make more money. So.

I suppose if you get too broke, you can sell your extra rings. That's one way to make it.

[Ah, now you've got me started! This is my pet Gaia-rant.

A number of factors were involved, mostly:
- the Cash shop. That thing is, for a lot of people with access to their parents' credit card (or one of their own) and a lack of work ethic, insta-gold. You buy an EI and post it on the market - BANG. Millionaire. Lots of people who, formerly, had no golds suddenly have a get-rich-quick method of earning lots.
- the Aquarium. Seriously, that thing gives out 40k items.
- zOMG. Before they soulbound the rings, that was a good way of making cash - selling rings.

Basically, a number of things that combined together to mean more gold . `. more 'rich' Gaians .`. price of goods rises in response to added spending power. I blame the Cash shop a lot. BACK IN THE DAY ALL THESE THINGS WERE CHEAP AND THERE WEREN'T NO GOLDARN INFLATION AND THERE WEREN'T NO FANCY EIS OR CASH ITEMS OR-][/oldfart]
