I think he is genius, although I've only seen "The Birds." That movie didn't really scare me but the way it's set up and the whole story in itself..just facinates me and gives a whole new perspective on life. I admit to laughing pretty hard when the kids came running, screaming down the street and the birds started pulling hair and pecking flailing arms. Horrible, yes but in a sense, kinda entertaining. XD



I'm really wanting to see his movie "Lifeboat." It has Tallulah Bankhead in it and has a very realistic and scary plot to it. I've only seen a clip of the film and that alone was an eye opener.

I love Baby Jane and Charlotte and own both movies. One of my good friends is obsessed with them too, so I got her Baby Jane for Christmas. As for Now, Voyager..I haven't really watched it watched. Just parts. Mainly because I can't stand her character for some reason, I just don't see Davis playing Charlotte Vale, or whatever her name was. Maybe it was the hair, lol. I hated that cut! I really want to see more towards the end, though because of her older state and funny, bushy brows. I do think Gladys Cooper was amazing at her role and love the scene where she comes parading in on Charlotte, asking her what happened to her clothes. Ahh, such good bad mouthing indeed.



The only reason I really know of the film is because it was made the same year as my favorite movie, called "The Magnificant Ambersons" and Agnes Moorehead was nominated for an Oscar, as well as Glady's Cooper but both lost to Teresa Wright, for Mrs. Miniver. Speaking of which, I just got done with the book I was reading on Bette Davis and have to get started on this one I checked out on Greer Garson, who was also in that movie. I love how all hollywood stars can be linked from one to the next through movie and text! I just find it funny to be reading on one person, see something about a different individual, who happens to appear in the next book I read! XD
