Well hmm...how often are you fertilizing your pitchers? Yes, they are bog plants and should keep pretty moist but there has to be some reason that they aren't making any new pitchers. You could try leaving off with fertilizing for a few weeks and see what happens. It wouldn't hurt to try.



So you have some tiny new plant members in your family huh?! How exciting! Yep, now that it is getting warmer and sunnier, my plants have been taking off. Though some of my violets insist on still being droopy. Soon they will go outside to the porch and I'm sure they will love it.

It was no personal attack...well personal to your avatar but not personal to you. Besides, you can't report me for giving my opinion, that's why the comments are there. I voted and commented on what I think you deserved. If I didn't like it, then you have to deal with it, I mean you have to deal with both praise and denouncement.

Wonderful! I've got scads of tiny African violets that I've started from leaf as well as jade plants and begonias. I started a bunch to give to my mother's school for a fundraiser but now it seems that they aren't doing one! Now what do I do with 50 some baby plants? I know! Build a greenhouse!! Whoo! I got a whole bunch of baby aquatic plants from work and they are doing wonderfully! I can't wait until its warm enough to put them in the ponds outside.

Do you happen to know what kind of pitcher plant you have? Just wondering...I work with three different kinds. Have you ever tried using a fertilizer for your pitchers? A foliar spray. That might give them a boost.

I'm so jealous of you having a papaya! Its good to hear that you are one to rescue plants. My work throws so much stuff away so I'm always busy stuffing things into my pockets on the way out. Heck its 'trash' right? So who cares if I take it? Come to think of it...that's how I got most of my plants.
