I'm not sure quite what to suggest then; although plenty of odd things hanging from a belt would look nifty (methinks)

Well, you can't go far wrong adding more leather and brass; watches and other accoutrements work well dangling from your outfit. I suppose it depends what 'look' you were trying to get with your outfit; the majority of my clothing is focussed around an airship pirate, for instance.

Yeah, I'm trying to get some goggles to work with as a base but eBay and B&Q have been a disappointment....

I did try Etsy a while back (and times since) - but was put off by the fact that quite a few things are overpriced, and I don't much like ordering from the US if I can help it.

Ah, goggles! I have spent a while trying to find some nice black and brass goggles, but they do not seem to exist. I'm now trying to get some black and chrome ones, and just paint them brass.
I have also dismantled a fair few old pocket watches; the insides of which I'm trying to find interesting uses for (including fixing other pocket watches).

I have the opposite problem (although a large time machine back-pack would be pretty awesome) - I'm trying to get my Gaia avatar as close an approximation to my real Steampunk ensemble as possible.
