These days, I think it's a good thing to be able to speak your mind. It's unfortunate that sometimes it causes trouble, but then again, not everyone can handle hearing things as they are. XD I'm one of those who, of course, respects it and doesn't take an offense by it.
So true. When that's the case, I don't fault people. I mean, it is hard to learn a language when you're so used to another.

True; that's a good point. Maybe thats why I don't tend to do it unless I'm really fuming; perhaps I'm subconsciously afraid of confrontation or something like that. XD Interacting through emails and the alike does make breaking away form the norm easier though, that's for sure.
I hope those people liked being reported for their stupidity, then. I know what you mean, I hadn't reported much before, but lately, people are really giving us reasons to. I can't believe someone would actually send out a bottle with that kind of a deplorable question! That's just... beyond gross. XD Awesome response; they definitely deserved it for that!

That's so true in both situations. I mean, that is just a terrible thing to say.

So very true. And then these people complain when they're called out for looking not too bright. I think they should take it online because it helps prevent confusion; I can't tell you how many times I misunderstood the meaning of someone's words because they used terrible grammar. x_x

XD I wouldn't be able to muster up the courage to do that, that's for sure. I think it's admirable to speak one's mind; I've always been the meek one in my family -- which is why I'm shocked that I'm having such an easy time discussing this subject of bad grammar.

I definitely see what you mean, it's amazing what kind of an effect chatspeak has. Yes, I do agree; certain parts of the internet language are tolerable, but I can't stand the gratuitous symbols and constant shortening -- that's where I really draw the line. XD I want to smack them too!

I think the only thing that annoys me a tad more than terrible grammar and overused chatspeak in bottles is when people leave nasty comments (whether they're explicit or just plain harsh for no reason).

That's true. I'm the same way.
I can definitely see what you're saying; it makes me wonder how many people write properly for school and the alike, but become lazy when it comes to anything else; especially online. I know chatspeak is big these days, but I'd rather take the effort sounding like an adult than the contrary.

No need to apologize; I completely understand and feel the same way. smile I don't blame you for snapping sometimes, there's only so much people can take. *nods*

That's true. I mean, doesn't school generally teach people to write properly? Accidental typos, I can forgive, but random gibberish? Not so much.
Wow, that is young. So far, I haven't talked to anyone that young on here (I'm usually pretty quiet and find it hard to start conversations).
It's pretty bad when people my age cannot compare grammatically to 9 year olds; I guess it shows who was paying more attention.

I agree completely; I have to really bite my tongue in order to refrain from telling them to stop butchering the English language.
They definitely should go back to grade school if that's how they converse with people.

That's awesome. I think that way myself; I don't see the point of either typing a random answer that makes no sese or just hitting random keys on a keyboard and submitting it.
