i loooooved the neopets games. but the avatars kinda blew. reminded me of overly-cute my little ponies. i like dressing up in gaia. but sometimes i want to play neopets games again... what keeps me from going back is knowing my poor neopets are probably starving or dead. i feel too guilty to see what condition i've left them in after all of these years of neglect. (same reason i don't have a pet or even a plant in real life.)

sounds like you've probably been reading Bradbury.... people made of sugar? Bradbury is pretty out there. the best book to begin with if you want to get a taste of Asimov would be "i, robot"...this is NOT like the movie. the book is a bunch of different short stories all dealing with robots. it's easy to get through 'cause it's broken up into different stories. there are some repeat characters in the book though... Gregory Powell and Mike Donovan as well as Dr. Susan Calvin. Dr. Calvin was a character in the movie "i, robot" but she's portrayed quite differently than she is in the book.



Asimov wrote sci fi for 50 years... so there's a lot of books out there. most of them are about robots. but if you want a good book by him without robots as it's central theme, "nemesis" is a good one. it's a rather hefty novel though. but really good story.
