oh yeah, definitely! they can be expensive and if you find you don't like them, then it's not worth it.
i like sewing by hand for repairs and small things [like buttons] which is what i do mostly, so i don't usually use my machine.
i don't really make outfits, and unless you have some big projects, it may jsut be easier to.. .borrow somebody else's

O: oh! man that's kinda cool, the medal part of it.
my mum's a seamstress though, so even if we didn't have them in school, i've got a few at home XD
it's really not that difficult though, if you already know how to sew. just take it slow and thread properly. -sucks at threading-
if you don't you can get it all knotted up inside the machine [easy enough to pick out though] or even break the needle.

it's really not that hard at all. threading the machine is probably the hardest part, but you can always do it by hand :3

well if you look for tutorials some of them are pretty neat but i find Threadbangers [a relly great site] tends to have great videos that nearly anyone can do :3
