I wash my dad's dogs, too. His are really old, though, so I must be gentle.

I always give my dogs baths. They are all husky mixes, so I just spray them down with the hose outside, lather them up, then spray them down again. I do all three in a row sometimes. ^^

I bit the dog back. Then, he challenged my Malamute, who puffed up and roared in his face. Finally, he jumped on my older husky/shepherd mix, and she got so pissed, she beat him up. XD
