Good, now that we have that out of the way. Of course I figured I'd get looked up and nearly hit my head against the desk since the face I use on facebook is quite contrary to my self portrayal here. Although, I am wearing a tophat. I do love my top hat.

Ah. I'm afraid I do not currently have many contacts abroad. I used to talk all sorts of things with a bloke from Belgium, but then he moved to Canada and I lost contact. Isn't it funny? He moves to my country and then we stop interacting.

Oh, yes, I do have a facebook account, but I don't really pay attention. See, it was my competitive nature that got me onto that slippery slope. I saw my sister playing this geography game and was certain I could do better, but she said it was exclusive to facebook, so I joined with the singular purpose of beating her score and rubbing it in. I did beat her... ah, but then people started to find me even though I put my name in as 'Jerklyn'. So I think I'll just ignore it from now on.

Aaaah. Well, I do not have a sketchbook at current. That sketch was actually done digitally, but made to try and look like a ballpoint pen sketch. As for facebook... just starting to? Pray tell, what do you hate about it?

Very stylistic. I love the detail in the hair. Too bad it's hard to clean up the area around a pencil shaded picture when you scan it.

I see what you are saying. It's been a long time since I've done a 'free write' where I just write whatever comes to mind. I guess I should loosen up and just try to allow the creative juises to flow, rather than constrict it with a floodgate and try to control it... like irrigation or something.

My problem is the plot gets lost in my words. Then it gets discouraged and wanders off. Then I end the story by killing off the MC. I am VERY amateur at story telling; yet I have always wanted to be an author. A comatose patient's dream? So very surreal I take it?

Yes I write, but not very well. Most people seem to want to slam their head into a wall after reading my drivelling yarns. I also draw. Again I lack prestige, but I am good - just not expert. Yet.

Ah I know what you mean. I should be beta reading for someone who read one of my old manuscripts (and hated it - but I do not blame her - it was written while I was still adolescent) but I just don't have the mental energy to be critiquing. So I'm bored and low on energy. It's only 11:18 pm here, so not too horribly late.

Boredome more or less. I am so bored I am doing some pointless and spammy quiz in the chatterbox. At least now I have someone to engage me, rather than filling out a request to post each of the available emoticons one post at a time. What time is it where you are?

Lether? That's a splendid name. Is it pronounced with a short E (like pet or get), a long E (like leash or peek) or more of an A sound (like way or sleigh)? I was named after a hockey player, Jocelyn Thebaut. My name is Jocelyn. It's one of those names that started as a man's name... but then became a woman's name. Like Ashley or Shirley or Leslie. I am Canadian, so French is mandatory to learn.

Aaaah French. I should be able to speak the language, but really even after six years of french classes, all I got from it was how to say "I don't speak French" and "I am a fish". Please do not ask me to spell it out, though. I am not really into classic novels so much as classic music. Tchaikovsky is my favorite composer; I just adore Swan Lake. Unfortunately, I've never had the time, money, or opportunity to go see the ballet performed.

Hmm I'm too new to say whether I spend too much time here. However, we tend to gravitate towards things that are familiar, even if they aren't ideal. What sort of things do you enjoy reading?

Ah yes, it would seem Gaia here is pro capitalism; wear your wealth on your sleeve. The more busy, complicated, and tachy your avatar, the more influencial power or status you seem to possess. Not only do you need to have avatars like this, but now they have these homes to decorate, aquariums to bother with (I am puzzling over how to make mine disappear from my profile) and cars to, ahem 'pimp'. Not that I'm complaining. I'm too new to complain. My opinions are still soft enough to be changed.
