The tears trickled down her cheeks. He didn't really understand. Hardly any of the maids and servants conversed with her before. Yes, she did have the girls in the same bay, but she wasn't sure how they would react to her since she had been in the prison. Would they avoid her like the others did and talk about her in hushed tones? Returning to her flowers didn't seem doable. She understood what it was like to love and what it was liked to be loved. Being alone wasn't an option. "Nathaniel, please don't do this. Please."

Andromeda wanted to hate him in that moment but she couldn't. Rena had told her that he still loved her and she was going to stick by that. Even if it brought her strait to the mouth of the devil. A lump rose in her throat and she took a step closer to him. "Nathaniel, please, stop this. You and I both know better than this and, frankly, you're insulting the both of us with this charade." At least she hoped he was. Her eyes were shimmering with tears though. Maybe Rena had lied to her an had told her these things just to further break her heart. What a cruel game that would have been!

She tilted her head and pursed her lips, disbelief shining in her eyes. "I didn't know you had a thing for virgins, Nathaniel. Isn't that rather archaic?" Never once had he mentioned something about liking 'pure' girls. In fact every time he spoke about his exploits, he always was pretty indiscriminate about who he decided to get with.

Her eyes widened and she fought the urge to bring her hand across his face. Not that she had the strength to put any force behind it. The stay in the prison with no food and just sips of water had left her weakened. She looked at him crossly. "Why would you do that sort of thing? You have you pick of the entire wait staff. If it was really that difficult to wait, you could have had any of them while you were with me but you didn't."

That wasn't true. Andromeda looked at him carefully. Yes, it hurt her when he said those horrible words and she clenched her fist tightly about the opening of her robe in a weird sort of protective gesture. "Nathaniel," she said softly. "I know you're just saying that." She could tell it; this did not sound like the man that she knew and loved. "You wouldn't have stayed with me as long as you did without any... action if that were the case."

He was a handsome red haired man with the similar fair skin, but his eyes were grey. "Please forgive me. I wasn't paying attention to where I was walking"

Renas eyes poped open. "Oh..oh of course you did.." She sat up with the sheets wrapped around her and stood up, looking for her clothes. After quickly dressing she turned and smiled. "Ill be right back, sire." She turned and ran out into the hall, headed for the kitchen.

This coldness was uncharacteristic of him and she knew why; he slept with Rena. The maid had told her about it, which instantly sent Andromeda into an emotional tizzy. Still knowing of it she wanted to be with him. "I heard, you know."

Andromeda left the shower she had been permitted to use by the prince. Even after this short time some food and a rinse had done her wonders. She padded out into the hallway in a robe and her chemise, hair wet and hanging down. Yes. Her heart was partially broken because of this all but she hoped that, beyond hope, Nathaniel would come around to her again. It may have been pointless because he had Rena of all people, but she wanted to at least try.

Rena would have noticed the change in his heartbeat, but at this point, and with a smile on her face, she was sound asleep. As she slept, she dreamed of being with the prince, and of a royal wedding where she was the bride.
