The girl felt her heart fissure. What? This could not be the case! She took in a deep breath to stop the tears from flooding into her eyes. Andromeda did not like crying in front of strangers. Especially ones that were going to be connected to her love for the rest of their lives. It wasn't that she hated Spark but, rather, everything that was happening. "Are you serious?!"

"I know you're not," she told Nathaniel in a hushed tone. Quickly she amended the way she replied to it and she turned highly apologetic eyes towards Spark. "Which is to say that I don't think you're a wench, obviously you're not, but I know he wouldn't betray me on that level. Not right now anyway."

Even if he had the incident with Rena she knew he hadn't meant any of the things he had done with the other maid. It was from his grief, she knew and had known the moment she had seen the regret in his eyes firsthand. She carefully rubbed her thumb over the top of his hand. "This just worries me for later plans by your mother. If she sent out the request for marriage to this princess, who's to say she didn't sent out requests to other princesses or won't do so when she finds out that Spark declines?"

Andromeda felt as if she had been punched in the stomach and she had fallen to sit on the edge of the bed, a look of disbelief written over her face. The Queen had sent out a marriage proposal on behalf of Nathaniel? Her stomach churned and twisted. A small hand went to cover her mouth. This was all too terrible for her to imagine. Thank goodness that Spark had some sense about her, else there could have been more of an issue. The maid knew she had to figure out how to prove herself to Ruby more quickly than she anticipated. It was settled then, without anything being stated by her, she would visit the monarch in her chambers that evening and ask what could be done about this. Andromeda would do anything. She turned her gaze from Spark to her beloved and reached out to grab his hand for support, knowing that this must have come as a horrible shock to him as well.

Andromeda was shocked by this girl's brash behavior and simply stared at her as she came in and began to speak. She looked like the rock stars that the maid had seen in posters that hung over some of the other servant's beds. Which was cool and the fresh faced gardener thought the girl might whip out a cigarette. Instead she announced that she was a princess as she walked towards Andromeda, offering her hand. Andromeda shook it with a firm handshake. The other girl likely would feel the callouses of hard work lining Andromeda's palm and fingers. "Nice to meet you, your highness. I'm Andromeda... just Andromeda."

The young woman threw on her chemise and robe quickly when they were tossed at her. A loud thudding sound pounded in her ears and a blush crept around her cheeks. Who could it possibly have been that was pounding so rudely upon Nathaniel's door. She pulled herself from the sheets and stood by the bed, hands balled nervously. She looked at him out of the corner of her eye, her mouth becoming completely dry.

She chuckled at his comment. This was the most relaxed she could remember being. There was something so right about this all and she couldn't quite place her finger on as to why. Perhaps their love was just that strong. That was what she wanted to believe anyway. "You are also a very good distraction, you know that? I should have started my duties hours ago."

She kissed gently as the skin beneath her head. It was warm and pale; a good contrast to her sun tinted hue. "You are too wonderful."

Her face flushed at his words and she looked down to his bare chest, tracing a small circle with her finger along his abdomen. "The words of someone who has experienced something truly wonderful. You're a very sweet lover... well, most of the time you were." She grinned up at him after she had said that.

Although it had been morning when he carried her into his chambers, it wasn't until mid-afternoon that she finally cuddled up next to the Prince in a haze. She pulled up the blanket around her and curled against his side, his chest making the perfect pillow. Every inch of her body was sore, especially between her legs, but a warm glow seemed to radiate from her. The truth was that she felt fantastic despite the stiffness in her body from her first encounter. Her body was abuzz with a new sort of energy and her smile didn't leave at all.

"That was completely amazing," she told him in humored awe.

"I love you," she told him softly. "There are few better ways than by giving myself fully over to you." It was difficult to talk. Andromeda stuttered and stumbled over her words. A cold sweat broke out across her brow. "You're the person I want to share this with and now may be the only time we have."

Andromeda normally wouldn't have allowed this. In fact, she was terrified of all act along this vein but she also realized something with her dealings with the Queen. There was no point in cloistering a thing like her 'innocence' as if it were a precious pearl. Not now when every moment with Nathaniel could easily be her last. She giggled as she was swept up and carried to his room, pushing all thoughts of what happened there the night previous out of her mind. He laid her down on the smooth and comfortable bed, her heart racing still. "If not now, then when?" Was her simple reply.

Nathaniel had never gone as far as to stick his hand beneath the blouse of her chemise before. Her mouth dried and her cheeks burned. Rapidly her heart beat as she felt the pressure of his hand against the smooth skin of her flat stomach. Her trembling from before intensified. This was the closest she had ever been with anyone ever. "Nate, maybe we should... um... you know..." Andromeda cleared her throat and whispered the last part. "Go someplace a little more secluded."

A shiver went through her body as his hand moved down her spine. Indeed she did not mind. She chewed on her bottom lip and her eyes danced. "Nathaniel, your hands are just as dangerous as that tongue. More so."

She flushed. This was something that she had disagreed with fully; she did not think she was very attractive at all. It was still nice to hear, however, because it had made her feel as beautiful as he said. "You and that silver tongue are going to get me in trouble one of these days."

"You catch on quickly," she teased him with a wry smile. Playful banter between the two of them was something she enjoyed and it felt so good to be able to do it again. Andromeda pressed herself more closely to him and looked up from him beneath her thick eyelashes.

At this she frowned. Was it so bad that she was that stubborn? Loyalty was one of her strongest suits and, sometimes, it came out like this. Still a smile managed to sneak across her face as she thought on it. "Is it possible for you to think any sort of woman is unattractive?"

"Its too late for that," she told him in just a very serious tone, too. "You have my heart now." Andromeda was completely and utterly connected to him. She loved him more than what she could properly described. Dangers or not, she wasn't going to back away from him.

Deciding to take things in her own hands, the gardener wrapped her arms around him and placed her lips on top of his. It was a surprisingly sweet and gentle kiss, considering the way she had taken it. She pulled back with a grin. "You're always on my mind."
