I totally agree.
I hate people who say, "Your music isn't music" or bull s**t like that. I don't think anyone should be flamed because they have a certain taste in music. I like people who have open options to different music genres, I guess thats just because I love music so much.
I sometimes tell people that I listen to metal and sometimes they say, "that isn't music! They just play loud and scream." That is not the case! Music is an art style that involves sound, you can make music by throwing rocks against pavement in an interesting pattern. Anyway, its also very difficult to play metal riffs on the guitar. I've been trying to teach myself Children of Bodom, its complicating.
Do you play any instruments?
