its not just the guns, its how plain the characters are, the world looks good, the enemy look pretty good but the main characters look dull, which in my opinion makes it abit plain in com parison to older ff's

Your wrong, if characters were all the same, what would define one final fantasy from another? Yes the same concepts are there, such as you have a hero, a villian ect ect, but looks wise, storyline wise they have to variate, and looks wise, XIII's cast is a weak one in comparison to all previous games of the franchise. And guns suck when they are machine guns ect, weapons of the real world, one off guns, fair enough but when every character has one, it becomes too alike with our own universe and ruins the fantasy of it abit.
