but the people selling don't want the item anymore
plus the marketplace usually takes so much longer.
the people in the exchange want to make gold faster than that.
the marketplace is usually people who are trying to make profite
these people in the exchange just want to get rid off the item fast for some easy gold.

lolz.
thats why you look in the marketplace.
you have to keep tabs on the mp price.
usually, you can offer something like this:
20k+ you can offer up to 10k off the mp (UP TO)
10k you can offer up to 3k off the mp
5k you can offer up to 2k off the mp
2k you can offer 500 gold off the mp
anything under 1k you can only offer about 200 gold off the mp.
