You may have different criteria than I do for determining whether a person is "good people" (I never did like that redneck colloquialism). I think most people are decent, if the standard for decency is lowered to a mediocre level; but these decent people are nonetheless all to often fickle, inconsistent, and duplicitous in some manner, if only on a fairly small level and situationally. I have rather high standards when it comes to things like communication, honesty, consistency, etc. that few seem to share.

Sometimes I wonder if it's a trend, like the way people are raised and the commercial media and consumer market, and all that are sort of a huge funnel catching people and dehumanizing them so they end up being shallow, materialistic, self-absorbed, fear-driven gluttons. I also wonder about the age thing, though really I've met people my age and older who are just as bad as many teens are made out to be.
