You say you won’t leave
Because you want to watch me bleed
The crimson runs down my wrist
Splatters to the floor

Drop. Drop. Drop.
They fall slowly at first
I take the knife
And run it through again

You say you won’t leave
Because you want to watch me bleed
To see the substance that kept me living
Form a pool onto the ground

I sink to the floor
Kneeling in in my blood
Staring down at my reflection
I only see a failure
A coward
An outcast

The light of consciousness fades
Fades as I lose more
Sliding from my hand
The bloody knife clatters to the floor

Does anyone hear?
Does anyone care?
It’s just another depressed teen
No one important

You say you won’t leave
Because you want to watch me bleed
Smiling when I’m unconscious
Soon dead
You cut a lock of hair
A souvenir, of course.
Then you leave
Shutting and locking the door
Locking me from
The rest of the world
