Well it depends on the restaurant. Some people have servers to bring out the food. Waiters just take orders and do refills and talk to people. Did something happen so you can't do strenuous stuff?

What kind of work do they do? I don't know what job does night shifts. You could try being a waiter...they work pretty late.
