As you may or may not be aware, banks are no longer permitted on gaia. We ask that customers do not send us trades or PMs asking us for a refund; we are going through every individual case ourselves and will get to you as soon as possible. Sending us nagging emails or trades demanding your gold will only slow the process down, as we will be wasting time responding rather than dealing with closing accounts.
WE WILL SEND YOU YOUR REFUND OURSELVES, DO NOT SEND ANY MORE TRADES TO US. ALSO, WE'RE STILL MAINTAINING RECORDS, SO PLEASE ACCEPT THE TRADE (THAT MEANS ACCEPT TWICE, JUST LIKE BEFORE)SO THAT WE CAN COMPLETE IT AND VERIFY THINGS ON OUR END.
The owners and staff at RPOG are totally devestated by this decision and we are sure that our customers will not be happy either. There is a petition you can sign here. We will update you as and when we know more.
How refunds are calculated:
YOU WILL NOT BE GETTING ANY INTEREST; DO NOT PM US ABOUT THIS. The announcement said only to refund what the person put in the bank, and that is what we are doing. To figure out how much each person is given, we are calculating your refund by adding up all your deposits, and subtracting your withdrawals. In some cases, this could mean a negative number (if you have withdrawn as much as you deposited, plus some interest); in those instances, you won't be recieving any gold, as you've already withdrawn your initial investment as well as some of your interest.
If you have a complaint regarding your refund not related to how we're calculating it, please send us a PM after your trade is complete.
If you'd like to help out, we're still hiring exchangers. Also, if you'd like to donate your gold: please accept your refund. Once you've been issued your refund, and your account has been closed, send a trade to RPOG, labeled Donation instead of deposit; you do not need to include your security code. You will not be compensated for any donations made. Send them only if you genuinely want to help us out.
