yeah, it doesn't like the backwards slash because it thinks of it as "OMG! IT'S A CODE!!" but finds out that there is no real code and so spazzes out and just doesn't show it. =] So then you just keep adding on to what you know? Does it come as naturally as regular typing or is it a bit of a hassle to try and type everything up? But I'm glad you agree about when it gets over used. ^^' That's actually how I usually see it written as... '>.>

Is it? The only places I've ever seen it is when someone does it.... well, ceaselessly. ._. Not fun and a bit annoying... Also, I noticed that you and 'Greevur' have different types of 1337. Yours was a bit harder to read at first until I realized that |-| = H and |) = D '>.> Is there a particular reason why you use different 'types' or is it just whatever you prefer?

Look, I understand that 1337 doesn't automatically make you a newbie. However, there are two definitions of a noob. There's the obvious one, newbie, and then there's n00b. n00b basically ='s unprofessional. Or newb-like. L33t and chat speak are usually classified as the same thing but I understand that l33t takes a lot more thought and practice and that should make you less newb-like. However, I'm all for vowels. =] They were put into place for a reason, no matter how dumb it may be. Because I'm so much for literacy, vowels, and typing out your darn words, I classify chat speak and l33t as n00b-speak. = It's not an insult to the person using them, it's just the practice of it that I very much dislike.
