All three of us are stranded here for the time being.

Those stupid Crystal Gems are always breaking my things. First it was my robonoids, then it was my ship?!

I know they'e been stuck on the Earth for several millennia, but does that mean they've completely forgotten common courtesy? It's like no one respect my belongings.

Peridont Touch That

[The sound of Jasper's voice caught her off guard.]
Let me g--
[As she turned around the face the larger gem, her expressions going from the usual slightly irritated but calm look to a worrisome, shocked expression. She'd stood there for a moment before cautiously moving closer to Jasper, raising an arm. Her fingers come close to touching Jasper's gem but she snatches her arm back.]
What happened?!

By the end of our date, she appeared to be a willing participant. I think we're almost there. As long as the Crystal Gems don't interfere, I'm confident that we'll sway her soon.

*Peridot pets her partner lovingly, trying to work out another purr from her. The sounds she was able to urge Jasper to make were so precious to her.*

I can't believe the things you said to me while I was regenerating. You love me? You don't ever want to go back? Where did that come from?

*The smaller gem leans in close to her ear, whispering faintly.*

*Her head tilts up, pressing multiple kisses to Jasper's gem. There was no way they were going to be able to resist each other anymore. Although Peridot wasn't sure what was in store for them once they return home, she's more than willing to accept the brute's affections on Earth. They'll think of something when the time comes.*

That's not true. For the most part.

The best things in life are worth waiting for, aren't they?

*It was already night time. How long has she been regenerating? Peridot wanted to make sure she didn't waste the chance she had to better herself. After spending the entire day within her gemstone, her jewel finally began glowing as her physical form returns, positioning herself on top of Jasper. She made very minor changes to her uniform, only brightening up the overall dark green with the area surrounding her previous injury yellowing in hue. Though her exterior hadn't drastically changed, Peridot felt genuine happiness swelling up inside of herself because of her partner. Her entire being felt brighter.*

You're so impatient. I wasn't even gone for that long.

*She immediately seizes Jasper's lips, kissing her several times.*

*Peridot could hear the warrior just fine. She wasn't sure what to say, even though there wasn't any way for her to say anything regardless. The olivine gem heats up slightly in an attempt to send a signal to Jasper. Even though she knew the stronger gem would grow impatient, she decides to take her time with this regeneration.*

*A sudden wave of pain rushes through her arm as its crushed underneath Jasper's tight grip. It was just a temporary feeling and wasn't too excruciating, but this incident was something that would leave her body weaker, which Peridot couldn't allow. She purses her lips, frowning up at the brute. The modern gem only saw one option; she was going to have to retreat into her gem to regenerate. Without another word, she sacrifices her physical form, her triangular gem falling to the floor.*

I hate that you have to agree, too. I'm sure this must be harder for you considering your position.

*Peridot frowns, mentally chastising herself. If word got out about this, she could potentially ruin Jasper's reputation. The warrior was known for her self-reliant nature and fortitude. This kind of relationship was so beneath her.*

Perhaps some time apart will be good for us. I still have to check on The Cluster. Stay here and keep Lapis preoccupied, alright? If anything happens, Lapis has a way of contacting me.

*She tilts her head, her lips brushing against Jasper's gentle hand. She never anticipated facing this kind of predicament. Peridot never cared about any gem before Jasper came into her life. The only thing that mattered to her was her work. She tried resisting her, she really did. Peridot couldn't pinpoint exactly when her feelings for the warrior grew so strongly, but the fact is that they did. She was in denial for so long but after their date and even fusing together... The line they never should've crossed was already so far behind them and there was no going back.*

I don't know. I just don't know.

I don't want to lose you but it'll be too painful working with you again if we return home.

Until then, you can settle your partings.
[Garnet's gauntlet reduces in size before fading, her eyes locked on Jasper for a spare moment longer underneath those shades. Then she turned to head towards the temple. She could have been helpful by telling Jasper where Peridot was at least with her future vision. But she had more interest and drawing out Jasper's 'fate'. The longer she waited, the more humble Jasper might become. Not only that, but perhaps even respectful in the slightest.]

*Though it was something Peridot already anticipated, hearing the words escape the taller gem's mouth genuinely hurt her. This was just a temporary fling. It's this stupid planet's fault. If they weren't stranded on this hunk of rock with very little to preoccupy themselves with, none of this would've happened. She had to put her defenses back up or else she would just crumble.*

... I agree.

In fact, after this mission...

We should distant ourselves from each other. I can recommend someone else in my division.

I know. I never thought I'd be using such a term to describe the likes of you.

*She wasn't sure how she was suppose to feel about their situation. Peridot knew this wasn't her normal self and these feelings that were flourishing for Jasper will only cause them trouble. Besides, what would they do once they returned home? Would they just pretend none of this ever happened? Would they continue to see each other discreetly? Or... Would they just avoid working together again? The thought was making her worry but she tries her best to maintain a calm exterior. What if she's just making a fool of herself? That seems highly probable.*

You're reminding me of that feline we saw on our date. The grumpy one with eyes similar to yours. It also makes a similar noises when given affection.

*Peridot plants a few more kisses before nipping at her exposed skin.*

[Garnet stepped to the side with ease, moving around Jasper's punch. It was rather hard to sneak attack or simply surprise someone with future vision. She used the bottom of her shoe to kick Jasper roughly back onto the ground when she'd moved around her. She summons her gauntlet on one hand, the gauntlet suddenly doubling in size to the normal gauntlet she'd wear.]
I am going to give you one warning.
This time isn't for you, it's for those that I've noticed care about you.
So if you really want to play it selfish and let your wrath and pride take away your chance to have a meaningful parting with your allies, then be my guest.
I am not opposed to shattering your gem the rest of the way.
