Yeah. Well, if you have any ideas (and want to rp), you can share them with me via comments, pm, or in that thread. I'm still looking for something to grab me. I think the reason the school setting bothers me so much is because I once tried to do something with a group of rpers. It was an all-girl's school setting and your character had to be between 7-12 unless they were on the staff. And it had nothing whatsoever to do with romance. It was about fighting the institution of schooling (it was a private, religious, boarding school) and escaping the lurking horrors of the their campus without getting killed. Obviously there were some serious issues and some fun to be had for the characters but I couldn't even get it going. Everyone seemed to be too interested in asking how the characters could sneak out to meet cute boys or if I would accept lesbian roleplayers and I just wanted to shoot someone...

I'm in the same boat gonk I've been without an RP for a while and that's mainly because--like you said--nothing grabs me. A few do, but all of them are full or inactive by the time I muster up enough courage to get my application together. And see that sucks--how're your RP didn't get off the ground just because it wasn't romantic-relationship based. Ugh. What a let down...But I'll definitely let you know if I I'm ever struck with an idea and create an RP ^^ Feel free to PM or comment me if you storm up something too.

You're welcome! It's just that I think your observation was more like one of those truths that no one wants to admit, you know? But I totally agree with you because Barton Town is dominated by these half-baked RPs with a total lack of plot except finding your character's possible romance. stare
