They had almost reached their destination. And Gwen was sure that the minute she closed the door behind her she would wonder what in the world she had gotten herself into. She would maybe call Peter for advice too...

There was a heavy silence between the two as Gwen led the way to her apartment building. She knew she should say something...especially since she had so many questions swirling in her brain. But there was something...lethargic...about the flickering street-lamps and the way the dim light reflected off the pools of oil on the road. It was almost like a sedative...

Then she realized that she needed to take a right.

"So..." Gwen broke the silence. "Am I going to be a ninja now or what?"

Gwen couldn't help but laugh as the image of the masked man in a suit and her casually walking down the street...the mental pictures were quite humorous...
"Well, that's very kind of you. However, I don't know how my father would---" The blonde's breath hitched suddenly, her stomach clenching into a knot. It was then when she remembered. How could she have forgotten--? Her blood turned to ice as she remembered finding out about the death of her father. The rage she had felt towards Spider-Man had been overwhelming. It had consumed her like a fire engulfs a dry leaf.

"...never mind." Gwen flashed him a smile. "Shall we?" She began walking, the heels of her boots clacking against the cement.

The young woman took a minute to consider his words. Even though she could be impulsive at times, she generally didn't jump into things without at least thinking it over...even if she needed days...

But it seemed that all she needed was that one minute because for some odd reason she felt she could trust him. Maybe she was being to trusting, but it was a risk she would just have to take.

"Trust you and trust myself...got it." Gwen parroted back to him, almost like a girl in school. However, there was more going through her mind than what met the eye.

Emma closed her eyes briefly for a few moments, in a minor state of concentration, before looking up to the clouded sky for any glimpse of a moon.

Octavius looks down on the Moon Knight from the position he was in. His lower tentacles had him raised above the groud just slightly but the upper right one batted away the Moon Knight. "Bah! Close combat with me? I`m sorry my boy but you do not have the speed and agility like the Spider-man does..." he says in a taunting manner. During this time he begins to walk away from the center of the street and shoots his tentacle out. He grabs on to an innocent bystander by coiling his tentacle around her waist. She screams for help. He goes back to taunt the knight some more. "You`re interferance will cause this young ladies death..."

She gasps, startled by the sudden appearance of the strange...man. Yes...the person definitely was a man. "I..." Gwen took a few deep breaths, waiting for her heartbeat to slow as she let the mysterious man's words sink in. Being able to fight for herself? That seemed like a daunting, yet rather exciting prospect. Yes, she was tired of always being the completely helpless little girl that everyone had to save...
"I'm Gwen...Gwen Stacy, sir." she took his hand, shaking it firmly. "How...How can you help me?"

Clenching his fist, he looks on to the Moon Knight after the dart was thrown. Octavius uses his tentacle to strike at it so that it wouldn`t hit him. "You should leave now while you still have a chance..." he threatens. Again, innocent bystanders are looking on at the super powered fight. Some hiding behind cars, some behind lamp posts, etc. Police sirens could be heard off in the distance which didn`t give Octavius much time. He uses his tentacles to advance forward and closer to the Moon Knight.
