Missy had made herself comfortable on the roof of the Church in the slums. She had remembered that today was Todd's birthday.
Todd had received a text.

'Happy Birthday, sweetie. I hope you get everything you want.'

Missy was about to reaspond to the man before her but se jumped when she heard her phone go off. She read the text and relayed the message to the other. Then replyed back.
'Thank you, sweetie. I love you and when I get the chances I text you more often. Be a good boy. xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo.' Missy sent the message and soon she passed out.

Missy dug around in her back pack and pulled out her phone and began texting Todd. She had told herslef that she would text the boy to let him know she was alright while she was away.
'Hey, darlin. Just texdt you to let you know I'm safe now. I have found shelter...'Against my own will...sorta...'With another guy...we sorta met up in the rain and he brought me to his place...He doesn't have much but it's nice and quite out here...'When I'm not going at his throat.'He's very...'Stubborn, rude, some-what controling"...Generous. He has, so far, been taking good care of me due to my illness. I'll keep intouch with you, sugar. I just wanted to let you know I'm doing well. Hugs and Kisses from me to you. xoxoxoxoxo. Be a good boy.'
She sighed and put up her phone only to sigh at the feel of a blade being placed on her sholder.

Now, don't get the wrong idea, Missy was grateful of Todd's generosity...but Missy shook her head as if she were some 4 year old child refusing to take nasty medicine.

"I guess I am." Well, she was out in the cold @ss rain. But for some reason, she couldn't help herself. The rain, it drew her to it like a man wearing cologne. And boy did she love the smell of men's cologne.

(Aw thanks. But no need. My immunity should have me up and running some time by the end of sunday. Although it's suppose to rain tomarrow.)

Smirking, she brushed her fever burning cheek against his in a motherly-loving way.
Missy was surprised at how cool and soft the child's cheeks were. He was so small and innocent. She really didn't want to leave Todd or anyone else, but she knew she had too.

(Man. This fever really sucks.)

Missy flinched a bit but sighed. She didn't like anyone touching her, but Todd was only a mere child. Her pale soft hands caressed his small silky brown-haired head. "I'm sorry. Please forgive me. I don't know what came over me." The feline picked him up and placed him on the bed then sat next to him. "Promise me you'll watch over everyone."

A grunt came from her as she forced herself to her feet. "Can you promise me something? I want you to stay safe. If you know something bad is going to happen, I want you to run and find some place safe. I won't be hear to protect you and that worries me. If something were to happen to you, I'd never forgive myself." Her voice cracked and became shakey. Her eyes were red but no tears came from her. Her body wanted to cry but she couldn't...not anymore.

"Please, just don't. Just..." A heavy sigh erupted from her throat. "I don't want him knowing about this." What if he choose to follow her? What if he made things worse? Missy didn't even know if she even loved him...or if he loved her.

"I need some time to think." To get stable. "I want to get my mind off things." Like Sam. "I need to sort out my feelings." I miss him. I love him...or do I hate him. Which one was it again? Missy was so confused now. Her mind was so scrabbled and messed up. "I want..."I want my Sam-Sam back...or do I want him dead? Which one was it?"...some time alone."
