Honestly, I've never been a thief. I've made an effort to be a good man despite a brief stint in, ah, terrorism. The Brotherhood years were a sore subject, as he'd been harder to indoctrinate into the Magneto ideology...and thus harder to unbrainwash, once they'd gotten out. But as it is, you must figure out where you stand, with both Rogue and- wait, Jean? Jean Grey? That's...that's a spectacularly bad idea. Now, I wasn't present for the debacle, but rumors spread far and wide in our community. Wasn't it true that she caught her last paramour in Emma Frost's brain? If you're caught between the untouchable and unthinkable, it doesn't matter who wins, you lose. You may want to look into joining a monastery.

Remy, my wife cheated on me. She cheated on me, and the trust was broken. We separated, and no matter how many times we got back together, we still ended up divorced, because I couldn't get the idea of her being unfaithful to me out of my head. Of course, looking at our marriage objectively, we were a poor fit. We married far too young, for all the wrong reasons. It was never going to be forever, but it might have been longer if I had been able to trust her. There was a pause, as he figured out what else to say. But my failings are not the issue, here. In order for you two to get off the ground, Rogue has to be able to trust that you're not going to wander off and plant your lips on anyone who's available when she's not around...and you have to have that same trust in her.

xxxMouth opening, the Archer drew in breath to make his statement. But paused gaping for a moment to observe the brunet destroy the place a little.
With that the easily distracted blond noticed there were claw marks along the wall as well. This place really needed to be redecorated.
That or his animals needed more toys to mess up. What cat just claws the walls? Unless? Were those maybe marks left by some pussycat instead?
Blushing he shook his head to clear the thoughts away. / / snap out of it / / He mentally reminded himself before causally remarking,
"Oh Y'know. Cable & internet are down at my place." Hawk leaned back slightly nodding to the other man in recognition.
"Figured you'd be entertainment enough while I wait for it to come back on." A smirk dragged up a corner of Barton's lips and he gestured to the wall.
"Explosions, 'romance', and mental instability? You're better than most reruns of Dogcops! And much more odorous; really sets the mood." His words carried the typical glibness.

"Aw, c'mon. Don't give me that look, I brought you something"
Reaching to his jacket which hung off the edge of the counter he rummaged through the pockets and removed something.
Sliding it along the surface, he playfully bat the object to-and-fro between his hands.
"Surprise, a deck of cards you haven't ruined yet! You owe this Birdo a tasty 'Fish."
Pulling the cards from their box he began shuffling them. They were simple, fresh, store bought and vaguely smelled of plastic.
"I doubt you have any money to gamble with---or do you? We could always play for other gains."
It may have been childish or seemingly a jest; but the Agent was being genuine for once, and such serenity reflected as much in his steely blue gaze.

xxx Lazily adorned in pajama pants and a loose fitting T-shirt that barley clung to his body, the Archer slumped over a counter. Resting his weight on an elbow toying with a dime in his other hand. "Hey. Your place is kinda borin'." Hawk piped up over the music playing in the background. "It smells like kitty-litter, cigarettes, an' raw potatoes." During his mention he began wrinkling his nose in offence. It looked as though the mutant was paying his whining no mind. Slightly irritated Barton flipped the coin between his fingers before flicking it at the back of Gambit's skull. "Cajun!" He remarked aloud watching as the tiny object bounced off the other's head. The sight caused a lighthearted smile to paint the blond's expression & a chuckle escaped his lips.

Selene's eyebrows raised as he took a few steps closer her silky ebony hair bounce against her shoulders. "You plan to steal something of mine. Is it not right to attack to protect ones possessions?" Her expressions stayed calm. Whatever this mutant was up to it wasn't going to end without a fight. One wrong move from him and she will smite him down to the ground and possibly she will have to move destinations to become undetectable once again. Her black pastel lips form a smirk when he continued to walk towards her as she stood almost like a statue in front of her throne. "Your persist and it is clear that something of value of mine is worth fighting for?" Whatever Gambit planned to take she was eager to find out but didn't want to show it because it will only show that he has succeeded to her curiosity.

A soft moan and groan was awakened in the darkness, two big figures stepped out of the shadows. Their eye sockets completely dark, hollowed ebony bodies slowly stood up like any normal human and stopped halfway near the stairs that led to her throne. Both the humanoid construct just stood there silent awaiting her command to obey her orders. Selene crossed her left slender leg over her right. "Queen like me have to take precautions seriously when some people are out for my head and my valuables."
