As I can say for you as well, David. It's not often I find it even worth having intelligent conversation with people on gaia. You're probably a second in all the years.
No lie.

Ignorant and narrow minded by choice.
I really can't think of any other explanation.
The other day, as an example, some kid was dropping all the typical high school lines on me to try and impress.
I'm definitely one to quickly shoot down any of that behavior (& not only for the immmeeeennnssseee entertainment it provides) but it really got me thinking.
Girls, who play themselves to be so ******** vulnerable and victimized by jack a** guys fall for that s**t everyday.
& to be THAT dense and not see the intentions under phony lines like that just seems so ******** unimaginable to me, that I can only assume they willingly ignore their conscience and ALLOW themselves to be impressed and charmed by it all.
Thus leading to the inevitable victim story.

That reoccurring cycle just reminds me of society in general. People who ALLOW themselves to be less intelligent and victimized and shocked.
Who choose not to use their common sense or expand their way of thinking a bit.

SORRY, I'VE BEEN TYPING OFF SOME RANTS TO YOU.
I'm just taking advantage of some good conversation.

Fashion is the perfect example.
I find it entertaining how shocked people get when trends come back around when it's such a minuscule matter compared to the much larger picture of what's brought back.
For instance, one I recently had a discussion about was 'teen pregnancy.'
So many opinions and phases have filtered the matter.
A lot of people find it so disgusting or unmoral at teenage girls having children when NOT THAT LONG AGO we were marrying our 13-year-olds off to have as many as they could. 4laugh
And that was the people who built the nation they're so proud to be apart of.
Also, that is still very much apart of other cultures today.

I don't understand how little things like that are so easily forgotten.
I haven't decided if it's that people CHOOSE to be so ignorant or if they really have just allowed their minds to be molded and re-molded again.

To begin with, it has real animal killings, which is the first thing that poses a problem for people.
Not that I support that, it's just I have this sick little weakness for intense gore.

But, it was pretty interesting.
Because it was 'an investigatory crew documenting a tribe' which happens to be a bunch of cannibals.
And to make it seem even more realistic, the actors kept a really low profile after the movie which even rose an investigation.
However, it's been banned for the animal killings and graphic gore/nudity in more than one country.
