You don't need reasons to be caring. Maybe I explained changing wrong. What I really ment was grow. Because when you grow you change. It's imposibble to change into wht you're not, that's called faking it. You'll change, everybody does. The only constant in this world is change, but you can still remain campassionate.

People change.
For example before I used to be very quiet and shy. Now I'm a lot more social and speak my mind.
From personal experence I know that life changes people. x]
But it's usually for the better.
