Although it would be unlike him he had the vague thought of saying something weird in order to freak him out but couldn't bring himself to do it. "Sleeping in the woods without food."

He can't help but wonder if Hidan even paid attention to what he was saying when he said it or if he just complained about everything on autopilot. "...Nothing." He didn't want to take the time to explain it now.

"Would you like to try it?" He had no plans on doing such a thing but Hidan was headstrong with a big ego that needed to be beaten down. That and he could survive just fine while spending little to no money.

It would be much faster to simply run/jump down the stairs but that wouldn't be nearly as tiring as walking was. He didn't want to exhaust Hidan just yet, since he needed him to dig later, but tiring him out was always a good idea. He'd b***h about it more but at least he couldn't go on as long or as loudly about it as usual.

He caught the charm as it flew at him, putting it away in his cloak although it wasn't needed. "Ecstatic. Next is the cemetery." He started walking again, heading back down the stairs into town. He didn't care about the stares they were getting but the attention made him uneasy none-the-less.

Reaching into the well he undid his stitches out of sight of the others and sent his arm down to take hold of Hidan's wrist, pulling him up and out of the well. For a moment he had contemplated what his conversation with Pein would be like if he told him his dumbass partner got stuck at the bottom of a well and so he left him there. It was too much trouble to be put with a new partner though and chances were that Hidan would eventually get out and probably find him by accident.

Kakuzu watched as Hidan fell into the well, like he had expected he would, and took the time to deliver the message to the shrine maiden before bothering to go over there. He looked down at him, faintly amused at how easy it was to play into his dimwitted personality. He knew Hidan would be complaining about this until something else happened to him but seeing his soaked partner flailing at the bottom of the well made all that worth it. Than and the money he'd eventually get for it.
Taking out the map again he looked at it before commenting to his partner. "It says nothing about having to go in the well in order to get it."

"Religious zealots." He glared at Hidan for a moment, letting him know that the comment was half-way aimed at him, before making a show of taking out the map again and glancing at it. "You're supposed to look for a special charm near the well." He had planted a charm in there earlier, a ways out of reach so Hidan would b***h and try to reach in and grab it, completely forgetting that he was a ninja.

"Yes, loads of it." He muttered back to him, not really paying attention to his complaining. The stairs were annoying but not too bad, especially since he was getting paid to climb them.

"You were going to have to climb eventually." The path back up out of the town was a hill too. There would be a lot of walking and climbing put in today, and if everything went accordingly he'd get his money back and have Hidan so exhausted that he'd collapse and not bother him once they got back to the room.

Getting up and folding the map into his cloak he headed towards the door, calling back behind him as he went. "Lets go. You'll get lost on your own."

The temple of course was where temples usually were, at the top of several large staircases that would take them quite a while to climb. He hated doing s**t like this for no reason but actually he had overheard one of the employees here complaining about the walk up here and offered to take her message to the shrine maiden at the temple for a sum of money. Hidan's side of things was actually pointless, but it would keep him occupied for a while.

His partner really was an idiot. Taking the map from him he made sure to glare at him before glancing over what he had written earlier. He had even been generous enough to set up one of the clues at the 'Curry of Life' shop around lunch time when Hidan would undoubtedly start bitching at him again about being hungry. "The first clue is at the Katabami Kinzan temple."
