Aha. We only have one cat. He's the typical black house cat with the white socks and chest. He's only got one eye, that's how we adopted him. I think someone at work brought him in and didn't want to pay for the surgery.

Our rottie has arthritis, and she's 12. And my labrador acts like nothing is wrong, and she's about nine. ninja

Some of the animals who come in with that, though, are in so much pain, no matter what their "parents" try to do to help. The most you can do for an animal in pain is to make him comfortable, and sometimes even that isn't enough. ninja

It is hard, especially when animals crash on the surgery table (rarely happens), and when there are euthanizations. But there are so many good things that can also come out of it. Delivering puppies, watching animals who came in sick leave healthy, being able to educate owners about their pets and how to take preventative measures so that they don't have to come in and see us for something serious. ninja
