Well, that and I think that a lot of the other posters misunderstood what you were saying. I can see how they interpreted it as rape, or forceful. That biases a person on how they respond to you. I'm just glad that experience actually adds up to something. Plus, it's a good thing this is your first time in a situation like this. xD It's not one you'd want to find yourself in again, I'm sure!

I think so. You said you guys talked, and that she told you that it wasn't as if you wouldn't have sex again. She just needs some time to process what exactly she wants. However, I wouldn't necessarily stop her from initiating sex. I think it's important for her to be able to take the initiative. It's part of the moving on process. If you stop her this first time, she'll feel as if you aren't interested anymore. (Complicated, I know...)

The best thing you can do is keep at what you're doing. She clearly cares a lot about you, and you her. It seems like you have a perfectly healthy relationship, and I'm sure things will move back in the right direction if you keep at it. Relationships are all about detours and compromises, after all. ;D

Eh, similar, I suppose. When my husband and I first started dating, it was a long time until we saw each other face to face. When we finally did, there was a lot of sexual charge there...for a while we had a lot of sex. But sometimes he wanted it more than I did, and he'd pressure me into it. I started to feel like all he really wanted was the sex, and it really put me off wanting any sort of sexual contact.

We worked it out, though, and things are fine now. We've both learned to respect each others needs and wants, and that no really does mean no (with the option to present a logical case as to why no should be yes). xD
