I loved the GB Zeldas, don't get me wrong, but their set-up had a lot more buildings and whatnot that you could use as save points. The same isn't quite so in the DS one. It works differently. Still awesome, though.

We should talk again like this soon, though. We need more nerdy game talks.

Don't get me wrong, the Zelda game is ******** AWESOME, but I don't think it was suited for a handheld release in its design. =/

Still awesome, and I still love it, but really, it doesn't feel like a handheld release at all.

Yeah, I hear that. The DS just isn't suited for long-term games, because it's a handheld system. Even if it is a long game, it NEEDS regular segmentation so that it makes it easy to save or quit and come straight back into the game. A lot of DS games are still getting into that, like Advance Wars that does it right. The Zelda game is just... frustrating. It's not a public game. Should've not been for the DS.



Never really liked God Of War. =/

I'm beginning to lose hope for the DS. A lot of it's games are cool and all, but most of them just make me think "...gimmicky." I dunno, perhaps I'm just getting pissed that RPG games are near-nonexistent on it and the ones that do are mostly mediocre experiences. Harvest Moon DS REALLY REALLY ******** disappointed me, and makes my big Harvest Moon stiffy lose all its wood. Seriously, I was SO pissed about that game.



The Shin Megami Tensei series ALL have occult and anti-JudeoChristian themes in them. It's ******** glorious, especially since it's all subtle. It's not out in front of your face. The way that Silent Hill makes the gamer ******** THINK is exactly what this series does, too!

Giving that control to the player really ******** with SH's atmosphere, IMO. I agree with Yahtzee on that segment. It really breaks the feeling that the town itself is the enemy- some nameless face that simply ******** with the minds of those associated with it.

And especially since "Travis" is just some random jerkwad stuck in the game with no real motivation just makes me groan sadly that this is a SH game. The feel is entirely different (in the bad way) and takes a nosedive into shittiness.



THE ENTIRE SMT SERIES IS AMAZING. If you can, get an emulator and pilfer all the older games, too. ******** amazing.

Digital Devil Saga is a REALLY nice turn-based RPG.

Worthy trade-off.

I have a near-complete collection of SH games. 2-4 now.

I want to get the first one and continue avoiding Origins. I played a little bit of it, though. Imagine Silent Hill not really being Silent Hill and you get that game.



OH! And I got Persona 3: FES. FTFW!

I'm not much a big player of it anymore. I'm into more complex and intricate real time strategy games like Age of Empires 2. Even turn based strategy games like Advance Wars: Days of Ruin are far more addictive.
