Yeah, that's why I mostly read one books or series that have ended at most four books. And besides I don't know if I have the patience to read those really long series. >u< ;

Sigh~ that's what I do. Maybe in the far future we'll be able to easily see foreign films shown in theaters and on tv.

Ah, I'd rather read finished series because it's torture if I have to wait for the next one.
And I agree. There were some series I've read that had a really good in the beginning and went sorta downhill after that.
Sometimes authors don't know when to stop. But if all the books are really good, I'd be sad once series ends. lol.

I understand what you mean. I wish the theaters here in America would be more open to showing more international films like other countries.
My cousin showed me a couple times what's playing in the theaters in Taiwan and they had movies from Spain, France, Japan, Korea, etc.

Ah! I have that series in my need-to-read-someday list. XD
I joined the LJ community for the series just for the heck of it.
I remember that the Japanese version for the book has some nice bishie illustrations for the the characters. lol.

Uwah! For real??? The movie wasn't really my kind of thing, so I'm kinda reluctant to see the remake once it's out. >w<
