but im no hurry to meet the p***k,

your grandparents have never met you,
the only thing is, the relationship between grandparents-grandchildren is one that is supposed to start at a young age, ya know?
little kids with theyre grandma,
so theyre probably shy about seeing you, and if your mom new how much you wanted to see them, but knew they bailed, maybe the reason she didnt tell you earlier is because she couldnt bare the thought of upsetting you with it, or she thought she could convince them to come by afterall.
theres a thousand different reasons for everything, and as far as i can tell, with parents the reason USUALLY isnt because they dont care.
