Hello, greetings, welcome!

Once upon a time, back in 2005 (or possibly 2004, my memory is a little rusty), there was the 14 Day Famine. It was a fun event, where Gaians from across the forums took 2 weeks to remove all traces of clothing and items from their avies and strutted their stuff proudly. They raised gold and gave it to the charities and quests they felt needed it most, and then at the end of 2 weeks returned to their items feeling slightly less materialistic and rather good for helping Gaians.

I entered the first famine, and then counted the amounts raised for the 2nd one. Finally, I organised the 3rd one and gave it a new name, The Sponsored Nudity Gig. The 4th one never took off as I had to go on holiday just after I created the thread and it died off while I was away.

But Gaia is now full of quests and charities, and every day more are started, while less and less people donate. And this year I’m not going on holiday as I can’t afford it.

So I’ve decided it’s time for the 5th one!

Can you stare at your avie in just it’s little undies for 14 whole days?
Can you bring yourself back down the level of a newbie?
Can you do it all AND raise some gold for a cause?

If your answer to these is yes, then WE NEED YOU!

The event will run from Saturday 22nd September, to Saturday 6th October!

Everyone, regardless of age, time they’ve been on Gaia, or post count, can join in!

We will be featuring competitions. We will be raising some gold. And most of all we will be having a LOT of fun in the process.

Sorry guys, but we need a few rules here. Please read before filling out the application forms below ^^.

1. Your avie must be naked for the 2 weeks! (Or as naked as it can get, namely the little grey undies it comes with).

2. When applying for your quest/charity to be put up on the Wanted list, it has to have been active for 1 month and have at least 10 pages. In the case of a quest, it should be for an item worth over 10k (or a collection of items). In the case of a Charity, you should have given out gold and items worth at least 10k

3. Don't take part if you'll be away for the 2 weeks, you can't just take your avies clothes off and then do nothing.

4. We will be checking to make sure you are nude and active. If not, you will be wanred, and if you don't listen you'll be kicked off.

5. Where is says "pie" in the quest and charity forms, put "bump"

6. No arguing, whining or bitching please. I want this to be a nice friendly place. Bumps are welcome of course but we do like to see some conversation as well ^_^.

7. You cannot do this for your own charity or quest. If people want to donate to your quest then they will. But this is about not focussing on yourself and instead doing something for another Gaian.

8. I'm sad to have to include this rule as I've have thought it would be common sense. THERE IS TO BE NO WHINING/COMPLAINING ABOUT HOW MUCH SPONSORSHIP YOU/YOUR NUDIST IS GETTING!

9. DO NOT BEG. For anything, sponsors, nudists, items, I don't care! It's incredibly rude and will not be tolerated. Don't make me create a blacklist!

10. IMPORTANT: You cannot receive sponsorship if you do not tell me who you are doing this event for. This is to prevent scamming. If you have not provided me with a quest or charity by the time the event starts, you will be removed from the nudist lists.

11. YOU CANNOT KEEP ON SUPERIOR FORM OR THE GIFT OF THE GODS LEAVES. UNDERWEAR ONLY PEOPLE!!!

If you want to sponsor someone then just go "I'd like to sponsor [Gaian] with [amount of gold] per day (you will need to give gold for 14 days even if you have just found this thread), or total.

So you could sponsor someone at 100 gold per day, so in the end you would give them 1400 gold. Or you could sponsor someone with a total of 1k, so at the end you would give them 1000 gold.

**There appears to be a great deal of confusion over what is what, so I think I'll explain it here. A nudist is the Gaian taking their items off for a quest/charity. A sponsor is someone giving gold to the nudist when they complete the 14 days.**

No, I’m afraid not. The aim is to take off EVERYTHING. No jewellery, no socks, no weaponsm no tattoos. Just undies (although you can put on the coloured bra/underwear/boxers sold in Gaian shops).

I am a guy/have a male avie, can I join in too?
Of course! Anyone can join in!! The more the merrier.

Yay, I’ve got a sponsor, what do I do?
Just post on the thread saying who it is (or if they’re anonymous) and how much they’re sponsoring you.

I’m doing the event and getting sponsored, can I keep like, 10 gold of sponsorship money for myself?
No. It all goes to the cause you’re raising it for.

What if I don’t get any sponsors, do I have to pay out of my own gold?
No, you don’t have to. If you don’t get any sponsors then you can either do the event anyway, or drop out.

How do I quit?
Just post on the thread saying you want out.

Can I also take off my clothes in real life?
Er, sure, but don’t blame me if you get arrested for indecent exposure.

For male avies, do the dancer bottoms count?
Yes, since they're generally used as a type of odd underwear.

I have all the boxers in my inventory for male avis, am I allowed to switch between each pair of boxers through the duration of the event, or am I supposed to stay in one pair through the two weeks?
Yeah I can allow swaps. They are still boxers after all. You could even strip all the way down to the little grey ones if you get bored with the rotation. Same with the girl underwear, you can swap between blue/pink/black/grey.

Is there a limit to the number of sponsors a nudist can have?
No, there is no limit to this either. Basically the only limit this thing has, is a limit on the clothes you can wear.

Can we wear the new swimsuits (particularly the two-pieces) as underwear?
I'm afraid not, while swimwear can be used as underwear in real life in the summer, their main purpose is for swimming, they aren't really undies, and the same goes here.

Why are you making this so difficult?
When did I ever say it was meant to be easy? Is running a 5k marathon easy? Is a 24 hour silence or 24 hour starvation easy? No, and neither will this be.

Are we allowed to be fidgety, as in does the position the avi is sitting/standing/facing matter? Is that allowed to change whenever?
As long as you don't use it to sneak on some items, like tattoos, then it's okay ^_^.

Of course! If there's no one in particular then check the "Wanted" Post.

Can I sponsor someone in the form of an item?
Yep, quite a few charities give out specific items so you can tailor your sponsory-ness to match.

Is there a minimum amount of sponsorship?
Nope, you can sponsor anyone any amount. A good basic amount to aim for is around 10 gold per day. All you would need to do is vote in one poll a day and you would get it.

How do I sponsor someone?
Just post in the thread, the general format tends to be “I would like to sponsor “Gaian” with “amount of gold” per day. Obviously you can adapt this if you’re sponsoring lots of people or if you’re giving someone a set total (i.e. 2000 gold) rather than an amount per day.

When do I give the sponsorship gold?
At the end of the 14 days, assuming we haven't PMed you to tell you someone you sponsored has dropped out/disappeared/not taken their clothes off.

Who do I give the sponsorship gold to?
You give it to the nudist you agreed to sponsor. They collect it all together, and then send it on to the quest/charity they were nude for.

Who are you?
I am the mule account of the Gaian AkibeJosephus. She has been around since 2004 and has quested many times and donated a lot as well. She can often be found in the Charity forum, running her charity and bumping quests.

I'm attached to my items, and I don't have much money so I can't sponsor someone, but I really want to help! What can I do?
Just come and chat with us, our thread being kept up on the first page of the forum increases our chances of attracting more sponsors.

I'd like my quest/charity to be in the wanted section.
Read the rules and fill out one of the forms.

If I donate some gold or an item to you, what will happen to it?
Anything donated to this account will be given out to the charities left on the Wanted List who do not have any sponsors. If there are no charities then I shall simply choose a bunch at random and give anything to them.

Is there a limit to the number of nudists a charity/quest can have?
No, there is no limit. The charity/quest on the wanted list will be removed once they have one nudist, but if they can find more people to do this for them then that's fine.

Can I have my quest/charity on the Wanted List and be a Nudist for someone else?
Yep, you can do both, most people here are.
