- Sat, July 11th - Silver and Barb opened colorist choice customs here. Barb started a breeding raffle running from the 11th through to the 15th here.
- Tues, June 23rd - The Emerald Seed event is over, and right now we're catching up on certs, prizes, etc. Growths will resume slowly, and the new colorists may open customs sometime soon!
- Wednesday, May 13th - Oh happy day! Daruma colorists have been hard at work to bring you an awe-inspiring event, the Emerald Seed Event. It's happening soon so shine those shoes.
- Sunday, April 12th - Happy Easter! We had our flatsale-hunt today, which I (Vance) messed up quite a bit-- sorry! Nevertheless, thanks to all the participants and congrats to the winners!
We will be having a mystery-themed event in May sometime, more info coming soon! And as always, Vance is working on growings when he can.
- Thursday, April 4th - There will be a small Easter/spring themed flatsale on Sunday 4/12, 2pm PST!
It will be a speed sale, and just to shake things up a bit... a speed HUNT! Our "Easter eggs" will be "Easter pods"... five of them. Not to worry, there are only two clues involved; it won't be long and difficult! Stay tuned for more info.
Also... the colorists are working on a larger event with an exciting mystery theme, set for May sometime. Look forward to it! ninja (Also, Vance is still workin' on growings)
- Thursday, Mar 26th - Yo everyone, Vance here! Con seems to have gone MIA, and staff is generally dying from schoolwork; sorry for the lack of activity.
However, I'm slowly coming back (applied & got into the Design major program at school, hell yeahhh!) so my growths will be started soon. Also, we colorists are talking about some events, so look forward to it!

Follow these rules! Failure to do so could result in stern talking-to's, warnings, blacklisting, and even taking away your Daruma! And you don't want that! eek
General Rules:
- 1. Follow the Gaian T.O.S.
2. Don't steal the art or ideas. This means the Daruma, the banners, the system, and anything else that's unique to the shop.
3. One of the most important -- try to be positive, and avoid drama shows! We like to have a nice, light atmosphere in this shop. We understand that sometimes life is tough, or things haven't been going too well, but don't come in with a stormy attitude and take it out on us!
Also, don't beg or whine. There are plenty of chances to get a Daruma, and complaining about not having one will make us mad. And you don't want to see us mad.
4. No blatant advertising in this thread, especially without permission.
5. Do not use mules or other accounts to give yourself an advantage in events. Don't edit your posts, either. Trust me, we'll notice.
6. Payment must be sent within 24 hours. If you won't be able to pay in time for whatever reason, please explain it to me or the crew by PM.
7. Respect the staff!
8. You can usually proxy in events, but you can't sell or trade a Daruma (nor its upgrades) after you own it. If you want to give away your Daruma, it must be done through the thread.
9. If you have any questions, post in the thread or PM Con. Try to read the front page to see if they were answered first, though!
10. We reserve the right to change these rules at any time.
General Questions:
Q. How do I get one?
A. Wait for flatsales; participate in events, auctions, raffles, contests, etc. If colorists have their slots open, you may also purchase customs or bribes, or obtain one from breeding.
Q. How much do they cost?
A. Regular pods, from a flatsale or game, cost 8k. The price might be higher if the Daruma is edited, etc.
Q. Are these RP required?
A. Nope! But active owners and regulars (in-thread & in-RP), gain many benefits... faster growth, maybe even a free pet.
Q. How does my Daruma grow?
A. Pods will automatically grow to Stage 1 in about a week. Growing to Stage 2 (adult) is NOT automatic, you must first set up a profile for your Daruma. We are still deciding what the next steps to adulthood will be...
Q. Are you looking for any more staff?
A. Currently we're looking for more colorists/editors! Check pg.2 for more info.
Q Can I ask you something else?
A. Of course! If it's a good question, we might even add it to this list!

Stage 0
Newborn
Each Daruma starts its life in a small shell where it continues its development after being conceived. You could call it a pod. (: This stage is known as Stage 0.
It takes about one week for the Daruma to come out of the pod, during which time little can be done with it.

Stage 1
Adolescence
The next step in a Daruma's life is Stage 1. At this point in time they show signs of rather large difference in their features, so much so that they are now considered different species.
The most common Daruma species are the Tigris, the Lepus, and the Canis. Each has different strengths and characteristics.

Tigris are strong-willed and resilient. They are always aiming high, but due to their lack of charisma, they tend to be loners and prefer getting things done themselves.
In combat the Tigris are strong powerhouses, at times to the point of brutality, preferring physical power augmented with Kaos.
Lepus are quick-witted and unstoppable. They are always looking for action, giving them a great fondness for all sorts of sports and adventures.
In combat the Lepus make use of blinding speed and quick decisions to confuse the enemy and hit their weak spots.
Canis are social and charming, with a keen sense for art. They often strive to make their surroundings more polished and beautiful, using their unique skills for communication and charisma to get their way.
In combat the Canis are very good at manipulating their opponent, such as blurring their senses and capacity for decision.

Adulthood
What comes after is Stage 2, a much more developed version of the Daruma. They show a completely new anatomy, differentiating them even more clearly.
At this stage a Daruma can be considered a fully developed adult and is capable of reproducing.
