O-ho! You're here for some sexan, aren't you?
...
what?
Oh, right. Breeding. Mm-mm, I think we can get some of that for you.
✖ Requirements (it's not all fun and games!)
.....≥ Two Daruma, one male and one female! They can be of different species; the babies will be a mix of those species.
.....≥ A 20k breeding fee (10k per owner), sent to the main mule.
.....≥ Both stage twos and stage ones can breed. However, they may only breed with Daruma of the same stage; ie. stage 1 & stage 1 or stage 2 & stage 2.
.....≥ If you obtain a Daruma in Adult stage (from a sale, event, etc... that is, you didn't grow it yourself from stage 1), you must wait a month before being able to breed.
.....If you want to breed two stage 1s, you must fulfill some additional requirements:
..........≥ Both Daruma must be at least one month old.
..........≥ Both Daruma must have participated in a completed RP.
✖ Babies (ie what you get from all this, you greedy bastards)
Stage 1 x Stage 1:
.....≥ The breeding will produce two pods, guaranteed.
.....≥ There is a 20% chance that the mother can produce a third. (Staff will roll a die to determine this.)
Stage 2 x Stage 2:
.....≥ The breeding will produce two pods, guaranteed.
.....≥ Since adult genes are more developed, there is a 50% chance of the mother producing a third. (Staff will roll a die to determine this.)
.....≥ If both Daruma have been in a completed RP, you will automatically receive a third pod, AND there is a 10% chance of a fourth.
Concerning line-edited (Upgraded) Daruma:
.....≥ If one of the parents has edits (Upgrades), at least one baby will also have edits (of varying degree, most likely minor). The other pods may or may not.
.....≥ If both of the parents have edits/Upgrades, all the babies will have edits (of varying degree, most likely minor).
✖ Q&A Session (as a parent, you should always be prepared!)
Q. I got babehs! Now what can I do with them?
A. Each owner in a breeding can keep one pod. The rest (if there are any) can be gifted to a newbie, or someone who only has one Daruma.
You may also give them away through free events such as raffles, storytelling contests, etc (please ask the shop's permission's first.). You can also give the pods to the shop for us to decide what to do with them.
Under no circumstances can Daruma owners sell the pods themselves.
Q. When do slots open/how do I get a slot?
A. Slots may be announced beforehand or opened at any given time. Most of the time, slots will either be speed-based, or drawn in a raffle (free of course). Slots may also be given away in games or events. Additional instructions on how to order/obtain a slot will usually be given.
Q. How often can my Daruma breed?
A. After breeding, both parents are not eligible for the next round of breeding that comes up (for all colorists). After that they are welcome to try again. Please note that to fulfill any RP requirements, they must be different RPs than the ones that were used for the previous breeding.
Also, one Daruma can breed up to 3 times maximum, regardless of partner.
Q. Waitwaitwait, hold up a min! How does this breeding thing work, really?
A. Oh my, haven't you had the birds and the bees talk yet? Well, never you mind. To find out more about breeding, check out this nifty link!
Q. Er... that's it really.
A. Oh.
